Confrontation

The Beginning and The End

You sold out! You didn’t stay the same!”

“Sweetie, I never sold out. You were the one who chose to say it.”

Desperation now, she knows he’s right, “I wasn’t the one to leave.”

His face is tired, worn from answering, “I never left; you just never bothered looking for me.”

“I did!” Her voice is loud and angry.

He asks a question now, “Did you really want to find me, though?”

Speechlessness and pressed lips. No. The silent answer is worth more than her words.

He turns to her, “I’ll still forgive you now. It’s not too late yet.”
