I sat at the crowed table with Luke and his retarded friends. Some were actually nice to me while others were plain out rude. Although when someone was rude Luke would immediately step in.

I continued searching the cafeteria for Alex the entire lunch period. He never showed up, which wasn't surprising.

Suddenly my phone went of telling me I had received a text message. I flipped open the light blue phone. The screen was displaying. New message from KIMI!!

how is school? So boring without me? So what are you and Alex talking about without me? Text me I am so bored here... mom is at work!!! BORESVILLE USA!!

I couldn't help but smile at her message. She hated being extremely bored out her mind. Although I frowned when I realized she wanted to know about Alex. Well I can't lie to my best friend.

I opened a template to create a message.

Sorry u r bored. Well Alex didn't com in. he told me when I got here that something came up. I am sittin with Luke for lunch. DON'T HATE ME....

I pressed the send button. “Hey Laura what's wrong? You look like you about to get yelled at.”

I looked up and found Luke starring at me intently with concerned eyes.

“I'm fine just nervous about Kimi.”

His eyebrow knitted together in confusion.

“She gets mad when Alex ditches me and you already know she isn't to fond of you anyway.”

Luke's lips formed his famous smirk. He just nodded his head. Then my phone went off telling me I had a new message from KIMI!!

I couldn't help but laugh. I got the reaction I was excepting atleast. Ring!!!

We all stood to our feet grabbing our things. Luke came beside me taking me tray from my hands. He only smiled in return and dumped them in the trash.

“Let me walk you to the gym since you have it next.”

I only nodded in response and we walked toward the gym.

I was sitting on the bleachers waiting for gym to start. I was dressed in a blue shirt, dark blue capris, a pair of sneakers, and I pulled my hair back into a pony tail. My ipod was in my ear playing Ignorance by Paramore.

I saw Max was finally dressed as well as the rest of the class. Coach Summers was over Gym as always. I pulled out my earphones as Coach was about to give out orders for class.

“Alright class I want about 3 laps around the track and then since today is Friday you have free day.”

Every Friday was free day because coach usually talked with the baseball team or just did usual paper work. I stood to my feet following the rest of the class toward the track outside.

The wind was actually warm so not having a jacket was even better. Most of the class was on the track running to get their lap over with to be able to talk with their friends.

Finally my feet made contact with the brown colored track. I placed my headphones back in my ears deciding not to listen to any music. I learned that when people think that you are listening to music they won't talk with you at all, which at the moment I needed a hell of a lot.

I started running down the track with my feet hitting the asphalt every time. I concentrated on my breathing and the sounds of nature. I was in my second lap when I heard someone next to me. I peeked beside me to find Max running along with me.

See usually Kimi has this class with me and we always talk while running, but today I have no one to talk with.

Apparently he must have felt someone looking at him because he turned his head in my direction. I quickly turned my head away knowing a blush had risen. I heard him chuckle beside me and then I heard his feet move faster.

Suddenly he was in front of me, running backward. He was grinning at me with his white sparkling teeth showing.

He motioned for me to remove my headphones. I finally ran my last lap as I pulled out the ear pieces. I stood still breathing through my nose to catch my breath. Running is hard work these days.

Soon enough I caught my breath and returned my attention to Max.

I gave him a look telling him to get on with it. I know I said that he was hot but unfortunately he does think highly of himself like the rest of the male population.

“Well ...”

He suddenly trailed off. I couldn't actually think he was getting nervous around me so I only shrugged it off. I nodded my head for him to continue.

He straightened himself some more so he was more comfortable on his feet. He released a gulp of air and opened his mouth.

“Well I wanted to talk to you about this bonfire next weekend. Shawn wanted me to invite you and your friend Kimi but not that Alex guy.”

Okay lets rewind. He didn't just invite Kimi and I to a bonfire with the more popular crowd. See even though the school isn't like others we still have the usual social groups.

The popular crowd doesn't make fun of others outside their own group. Although the bonfires the popular crowd hosts are for their group only and no one can get in without an escort from one in the crowd.

Hesitantly I raised my eyebrows. I wasn't about to look like a fool in front of this guy as well as the rest of gym class. He smiled at my hesitation.

“Yeah I know it seems strange but I am only following Shawn's orders. He is the one throwing the bonfire and wanted to invite both of you to the fun. We are actually having a water thing before and both of you are invited.”

I guess my expression was funny since he chuckled in my direction.

“Shawn said that Kimi might be the one to decide what both of you do. He also wants both of you to help with the house that is needing to be fixed up for the festivities.”

“I will have to talk to Kimi and find out from her.”

Max's lips formed a smirk and I could just feel my cheeks reddening even more.

“Well catch ya later Laura.”

Max turned around and walked toward the boys changing rooms.

I wonder what Kimi's going to say about the bonfire. I really want to go and have some fun for a change.

I was thinking all this as I made my way back to the girls changing rooms.
