Chapter 12

“Attention students this is the principal with the afternoon announcements. Well don’t forget we have a baseball game on Saturday against Lake View High School. The dance committee needs more volunteers for the upcoming dance.”

I was incredibly happy that I was in my last class of the day. I was even closer to getting out of here and going to Kimi’s.

“I hope everyone has a safe weekend. I look forward to seeing some of you at the game on Saturday. That concludes the afternoon announcements.”

My backpack was already on my back awaiting the bell. I could hear the rain outside since it only started this class.

Ring!!

I stood to my feet and began toward the door. I was itching to get out of this place, I needed my friends.

Alex is an ass completely. He never showed up when he said he was. I really trust him and mine and Kimi’s relationship is faltering because of his shit. He is really starting to piss me off.

I know I seem to be using inappropriate language at the moment but he just keeps on with ditching me. I could still hear the thunder from outside. Soon enough I pushed open the front door and stepped out the steps of the school.

I could see that some students were already outside running to their own cars. I peeked in the direction of my jeep to see that James’s truck was still parked in front of mine.

I was going to have to run since I get sick easily. The rain doesn’t help for someone who gets sick at the drop of a hat.

I made sure that my hood was securely on my head and then took off toward my jeep. As I ran I pulled out my keys and pressed the button.

Beep!!

Thank you lord I won’t have to wait to unlock the door. I finally got to the drive side door and pulled open the door with the handle. Quickly I pulled off my backpack and threw it to the passenger seat.

I jumped inside placing my key in the ignition. I turned the key bringing the jeep to life. I turned on the heat placed it on medium, the rain always freezes me to death. I pressed the button on the radio trying to find a decent station for once.

Suddenly I heard my phone going off signaling I had a call. Quickly I pulled it out only to find that I honestly didn’t want to answer.

Alex was what the phone said back to me, unfortunately. I had no desire to talk to him. I pressed ignore and closed the phone.

“Well the weather outside might be hear longer than expected. The forecast says that we could be looking at this rain until around the early hours of tomorrow morning.”

Great I hate the rain. Even though I would love to visit Forks I could deal with the rain there if it meant I was away from here for some time.

I sat still trying to warm up. My mind drifted to my mom and if I should call her about going to Kimi’s. I decided against it, I’ll just let her worry her little head off.

I pulled my hood off my head after realizing I still had it on my head. The jeep was now getting pretty warm. Suddenly I decided I should get a move on. As I was about to change gears I thought of an idea for Kimi and I.

I pulled out my wallet from my backpack to see that I still had plenty of money left over from last night. I placed the wallet in between the seats and pressed on the brake.

I changed gears and pulled out of the parking lot. I turned down the street toward the local Sonic.

************************************************************

I pulled my jeep into the cozy drive of Kimi’s house. The house was a one story white house. Her mom was incredibly nice and she even has this sarcastic side.

I pulled on the handle of the door stepping out onto the wet ground. The rain was only sprinkling now as I pulled out the restaurant bags. Leaving my backpack, I closed the door back. I walked across the grass toward the black door.

There were pots of flowers around the entrance. I stepped the door and pressed the door bell. Ding, Ding!!

Yeah I know but Kimi insisted that her mom install a more original door bell. I stood in the sprinkling rain for a few more minutes. Soon enough I heard running footsteps coming from the back of the house.

The door was quickly pulled open by an eccentric Kimi. Quickly she pulled me inside before I could utter one word. Once inside the house I turned my attention to Kimi and I could help but let a chuckle release from my rosy lips.

Kimi was dressed in a twilight shirt, lounge pants, but what made me laugh were the zebra house boots. The boots didn’t match anything she was wearing. She had her phone in her hand and I could tell she was texting someone.

“So Kimi I brought Sonic. I got us both the same thing. A bacon burger, tator tots with cheese, and chocolate milkshakes.”

Kimi walked toward me and snatched the bags from my hands.

“Come on we can eat in my room. I have to know what happen today while I was out.”

I followed Kimi down the hall toward her bedroom.

The hallway was a plain white. Sometimes I wondered why Kimi never talked her mom into painting the walls a different color.

I could hear music coming from the room down the hall aka Kimi’s room.

Kimi pushed open the door and walked through in the room.

I stood in the door admiring the room. Sometimes I wonder what Kimi was thinking when she decorated this room. The walls were painted red and the ceiling was black. Her bed sat in front of the window. The beds cover had guitars designs in red and white while the cover was entirely black.

She had a dresser on the right side wall. The other side there was a small table. Her ihome was sitting in the floor. Kimi decided to turn off the music, I guess so we can talk.

I lifted my head and looked at the walls. She only had one poster of Taylor Lautner on one side and then I saw a poster of Kellan Lutz. In the picture he was dressed in all black and had black eyeliner on (guy-liner).

The picture didn't look like him at all. I couldn't help but laugh at it. Kimi was now on her bed opening the sonic bag.

I started to walk inside the room asking her a simple question “Kimi were did you get that Kellan poster.”

She looked up at me and turned her head toward the wall.

“oh I found that on the internet and I never seen him dressed like that. It made me laugh and I decided to get it.”

I nodded understanding. I sat on her small light blue sleep chair in front of her bed. I found my bag of food and pulled out my food.

“So are you ever going to explain what the hell happen today. I have been bored off my ass here. I need details now come on.”

I bit into my burger and looked at her. When Kimi was bored you know something must be wrong with the world.

“Kimi you aren't the only one that gets bored off their ass about things. Anyway school was school and you didn't miss very much.”

Kimi still look skeptical about how true my statement truly was. I decided to at least bring up something for her to stop looking at me with those pleading eyes of hers.

“Well Max did talk to me in gym.”

Kimi's eyes grew larger. “You mean Max as in “Max Hottest Guy In School Max” talked to you today.”

I couldn't help but chuckle and nod in her direction. She squealed like I knew she would since she, like every other girl, had a crush on him.

“Well tell me what he wanted and don't leave anything out.”

I released of gulp of air.

“Well he talked to me because of his friend James wanted him to. He was delivering our personal invite to the bonfire next weekend.”

Kimi's smile turned into more of a grimace. “I don't know about it. I mean they never talk to neither one of us and now they want to invite us. Sound fishy if you ask me.

I thought over her fears. What she was saying made sense and I agreed. “I see where you are coming from Kim and I understand if you don't want to go. I made it clear it was your decision if we went or not.”

I continued eating as Kimi pondered over our situation. The burger really hit the spot I needed it to more than ever. I was half way through my tots and cheese when Kimi finally came to a decision.

“Well I don't like it but I think we should do something fun for a change. We can go as long as Alex isn't going.”

“Oh yeah, Max said he wasn't invited to this.”

“Perfect than we can go.”

“He also said that we could help decorating and cleaning this house they were using. As well as going to this pool thing during the day of the bonfire.”

Kimi nodded her head and we both continued eating.
