Thinking Back to Those Days

"Two Dollar Bill"

I saw her pulling her flannel on as the wind swept leaves around the bench she was sitting on. Mike and I looked through the window and made sure it was her and that no goody-two-shoes were around before we headed out to the early noon autumn wind.

“Paloma!” I called out as we approached the bench; she turned around and then stood up when we arrived at her spot.

“Really, they are only two dollars? Why so cheap, Two Dollar Bill?”

“I guess because I sell more that way, and the weed is not the best. But is pretty good. And that is a clever nickname you have taken to calling me.”

She handed me two crumpled bills and I took off my backpack to get out the goods. She did the same, putting her leg up on the bench to hold her backpack upon, for an easy and secret exchange, and for it to seem like I was passing her a heavy book or a paper. I took a look when she put the joint away, at a part of her thigh which was peeking out from the thigh-high-tights she was wearing.

I really had never seen a girl like her.

“Thanks Bill, Mike. You two aren’t bad. Thank God, I found someone decent her, I was thinking about hijacking a plane and leaving tonight.”

We all laughed and she told us that she was going to get some food from the cafeteria. We followed, and she didn’t protest, just kept talking to us about her move here when we would ask her questions.

When the bell rang Mike bid us a farewell, he had a senior off and had to go get ready for work.

Paloma and I walked through the halls together and we reached he locker where I asked what classes she had next.

“Chemistry and French III” she answered. “You?”

I expressed my excitement about us having French together, and then told her I was headed towards gym. We parted ways and I spent gym think up lyrics for the new girl. She was amazing in every way and I had barley met her. I told myself that, yes she was the most gorgeous thing I had ever seen, but I had to stop thinking with my penis.

When I started thinking with my heart, I felt deep inside that I had to get to know her, she was a beautiful soul, I could tell by the look in her eyes. She was clever and funny. And I wasn’t going to regret getting to know her better.
