Let Me Sign

Sunlight filtered through the rich green leaves of the forest, birds tweeting and small animals rustling among the fallen leaves. A girl of five walked beside her mother and father all of whom had the same black hair, her parents were talking sweetly and being love birds, the little girl giggled as her parents kissed and her dad turned to her, grinning widely before picking her up
"Amelia Carter, what are you laughing at?" Amelia's dad held her upside down as her mother and father laughed with their daughter
"You gave momma a kiss!" The girl shrieked with giggles and a bird flew away
"Amelia you scared the birdies" Her mother gasped dramatically and Amelia's father turned her the right way up putting his finger on his lips, Amelia followed suit, still giggling quietly as her parents walked towards a twisted tree that looked out of place in the forest with its branches bare and empty, it almost looked scary.
"Momma why is that tree empty?" Amelia tugged at her mothers hands and pointed
"It's a special tree sweetie."
Amelia's mother and father sat beneath the tree, waiting for someone to appear.
Bored with the idea of sitting around Amelia began playing with some twigs to pass the time.
"Robert put that snail down- No don't- Robert!" Loud voices and laughter vibrated through the air to where Amelia and her mother and father were sitting beneath the tree, Amelia's head snapped up looking in the direction of the noise as a small boy rushed out of the bushes, a snail on his forehead. Amelia giggled and pointed at the boy
"Look momma, He's got a snail on his head!" The boy froze and looked at Amelia
"Stanley." His British accent was stronger then Amelia's, and he looked older too.
"Maria, Jeff!" A voice called and Amelia's parents laughed and stood up watching as Robert's parents made their way forwards through the shrubbery
"Clare and Richard, so glad you could make it" Maria smiled widely and hugged Clare, Richard and Jeff shook hands and then the parents turned their eyes towards Robert and Amelia.
Robert tilted his head, the brown hair flopped to the side and his blue eyes sparkled at Amelia, she just giggled and pushed him playfully in the chest and the snail slid off his forehead
"Stanley!" Robert squealed and span around in circles trying to find the snail until the crunch was heard under his foot
"Oops.." Robert giggled, Clare and Richard chuckled before they turned to Maria and Jeff
"They seem to be getting on well."

Two years later
The pair were 7 and 9 now, and the bare tree was in sight of the river. Parents and school were forgotten in their haven, where they talked and played for hours on end.
Amelia watched Robert intently, as the boy with his jeans pushed up past his knees waded through a river placing rocks along it trying to each the other side
"What'cha doing?" Amelia asked whilest trying to get her feet used to the cold water
"Making a dam" He replied excitedly, and helped Amelia into the shallow water of the river
"Amelia Carter would you care to help?" Robert asked politely and Amelia cocked her head
"Of course, Robert Pattinson" She replied
Robert smiled at Amelia who smiled back.

Gasping I sat up, cold sweat covered my body as I reached for my clock.
An bright blue light filled my dark room, the numbers shone 2:45 am.
Another dream with that boy. The name rang a bell but who he was... damn it was well beyond me. I just keep dreaming of him, his face stirred something..
I ran a hand over my face, seventeen years old today and my friend was dragging me to the premier of Harry Potter... or something.
I rubbed my eyes and lay back down, trying to forget the boy and my dreams.
A peaceful sleep is what I need.
