That's Where You Take Me
Problems and Confessions
Rowan was glaring at Matt as they walked out of the house two hours later after an all out two hour fight with her mother in which Rowan had informed her that she was marry Matt no matter what and they were having their baby and there wasn’t a thing the woman could do about it.
“So what’d you do for the whole two hours we were there?”
“I read.”
“Read what?” Rowan said stopping her walk to the car and turning to face him. He just grinned and held up her notebook. She groaned. He put an arm around her and walked her to her side of the car and opened the door for her. She slid in and glared as he dumped her notebook in her lap. He closed the door and she sighed as he walked around the car and got in behind the wheel. Nothing was said as the couple left.
“So how much of it did you read and be honest with me Matt.” Rowan told her fiancé. Matt said nothing for a moment but turned and raised an eyebrow at her. She watched him think of something to say.
“All of it?” He said a moment later.
“Oh good god…” Rowan said whining and running her hands down over her face.
“It was cute Ro…”
“I know it was horrible…wait cute? Did you just say cute?” Rowan said turning to him.
“Yeah I did, although you should’ve changed the names out Ro…it was easy to tell…”
“Shut up Matt.”
“But I was just…”
“If you want to sleep in a bed tonight I’d shut up.”
“Okay. But I love you all the same…”
“It was seventh grade Matt…”
“Just goes to show I’m not the only one that’s been in love that long.” He said as he pulled into the garage.
“You’ve really been in love with me that long?”
“What was it Coby said? Since diapers…” And she cut him off with a kiss in which he ended up pulling her gently to his lap in the drivers seat. She pulled back and looked down at him. He grinned as he took her lips with his again. “I love you Rowan Lynn Shaddix.”
“I love you too Matthew Charles Sanders.” Rowan replied as she pulled his shirt over his head, both of them had laughter and love in their eyes as they stripped one another in the car.
Median was asleep on the couch when Brian walked in from the store. He watched her sleep for a moment and smiled. He was glad that she was back, and his. They’d figure everything out. For now they had one another. And that was all that mattered. He put the stuff he’d bought for dinner in the fridge and watched as she slept a moment longer before finally waking her. She looked up into his eyes and smiled at him. He loved the way she looked at him. Her blonde and purple hair was in her face so he brushed it away before pulling her into his arms. She rested her head on his shoulder as she sat there in his arms. Neither of them wanted to move.
“I bought you that ice cream you wanted Median.”
“Aww thank you Brian.” She said finally moving and dashing to the kitchen. She grinned back at him. “Do you want some babe?”
“I bought some of my own, but I’ll have a bowl with you…” He laughed as she moved quickly into the kitchen and followed her. He was glad he had gone to Montana.
“You know I’m glad I followed you. Rowan was right I’m an ass.”
“No not really you’re just stubborn. But if it helps I love you for it.”
“God I knew there was a reason I was so in love with you. Although I will admit I was pissed that first night I met you…”
“Hmm why’s that?” Median asked as she put his ice cream back in the freezer and took her’s out after handing him his bowl. He took it and grinned. He waited on her to finish with
“I saw you, with the tattoos and the piercing’s and the only thing that went through my head was you were fucking hot… and well I wanted to get to know you and everyone else was hell bent on making sure I didn't get the chance…”
“Really now…that first time we met… I remember it was before I was plastered, was that why they were more pissed than I was once I calmed down about that night? They’re over protective of me?”
“You could say that, you know they punched me a few times right?”
“Aww baby, I’m sorry. Who?”
“Lacey and Rowan”
“Well damn”
Gena was sitting on the chair in Val’s living room glaring at a wall as Val blabbed on about how she would get her sister back for siding with Rowan. The words ‘stupid’ and ‘bitch’ kept getting thrown together when it came to her. Gena was just as pissed about the whole Frankee and Zack situation.
“You know it’s all Rowan’s fault Val.”
“Thanks I know this…”
“No not just Matt, but Zack…the stupid bitch brought that Skank Frankee around and she did something to make Zack fall for her and now I don’t have him anymore. He was mine dammit.”
“What does Frankee have to do with your problems between you and Zack?”
“Val were you not listening… she…”
“Sorry, but he fucked her after he broke up with you, can we get back on subject… ROWAN that bitch is already pregnant…already wearing an engagement ring…it’s just not fair.” Val said throwing a pillow at the wall. Gena watched her and began thinking of a way to get back at them.
“How the hell could we get back at them?” Gena asked.
“I don’t know but I’m sure we’ll think of something. And I’m not leaving this house until we do.”
“Sure I’m game.”
Lacey was sitting on the bed stretching her back and muttering a curse under her breath as she tried to make it feel better. Johnny walked out of the bathroom and shook his head. He loved her and was so glad she had finally quit her job and moved down with him to Huntington permanently. She was looking for a new job but he had told her to take her time, he wanted her for his for a while before they had to leave to go back out on tour. He motioned for her to lay down on her stomach and sat running his hands over her back at first before he massaged it. He knew doing it would put her to sleep so he made sure she was resting her head on a pillow. He smiled as she mumbled right before drifting off. He continued what he was doing until all the knots where out of her back.
