A Party Song

I walked into the school alone.

"Hey Ocean!" Jack's familiar voice called from down the hallway. I glanced back at him with sad eyes, he came to run over, and I started walking faster. "Ocean! Wait!" he hollered again, but still I kept walking. He turned back to the group. "What's wrong?" I overheard him ask. I sighed and walked to my locker.

I grabbed the books I needed, and walked to English. You know what the sad thing is? I have at least one or two of them in all of my classes. I looked over to Kara and Rian smiling at me in their regular seats in the second row. I walked past them, and to the corner at the back. I could see them at the corner of my eye, cocking they're eyebrows at me.

I knew this would be a long day. A very long day.

I opened my notebook, and various thoughts ran through my head. How would I tell them what's wrong, if I didn't talk to them,what would I do? How would they react? What if they would do to me, the things they do to Lisa. This is so fucked up.

"Ha! Looks like the popular kids kicked out the new girl" Jake laughed. Jake was that stereotypical annoying nerd who was always in everyone's business. I just glared at him and rolled my eyes. "So... did they?" he asked.

"NO!" I yelled back, and everyone looked over at me. I glanced at Rian and Kara who just looked at me with sympathetic eyes.

"Okay kids, back to our lesson. Ocean, Jake, please listen this time" the teacher said. It was decided, I had to talk to them at lunch, whether my parents liked it or not, they had to know what was going on.

As they all walked over to their lunch table I pulled them aside. They all gave me glares.

"What do you want? Too cool to talk to us now that you've mooched off our rep?" Kennadee spat.

"What? I wasn't mooching off you're reputation. I swear. I have to tell you the reason I haven't been talking to you guys" I explained.

"So...go on" Jack stared at me seriously.

"It's my parents. The reason I left the show was because they found out I snuck out with Jack. They took away everything I had to contact you guys, and they told me that I had to have nothing to do with you, they think you're big trouble, and you've brought me on a new attitude.

I've been dying to talk to you all day. It's just that, if I got caught talking to you right now, you have no idea what my parents would do. It wouldn't be pretty" I explained. They looked at me sympathetically. Kennadee came over and gave me a hug.

"It's okay sweetie. We'll find a way"

"How? I'm forbid from talking to you guys."

"So, what about us?" Jack asked.

"I-I dunno" I whispered honestly. Jack wrapped his arms around me.

"I promise I'll figure something out"

"Promise?"

"Promise" he repeated kissing my cheek.

One by one, everyone pulled me into a hug, and I knew immediately, that everything would be better.
