Hear Me Now

Thinking of You

After I took my sister home and ate dinner I fell into a daze. Elliot
was on my mind, and that was not a good thing. So I decided that I
would try to think of other things. I thought of cupcakes, and
puppies. When that didn't help I thought of sleep, and how much I
wanted some.

Sleep came around one the next morning, and I knew I would be really
tired at work. I also knew Kole would question me. Wondering why I was
up half the night.

That morning when I got out of bed I instantly wished I hadn't. It was
cold, and I was tired. I opened my curtains, and sighed, it was
pouring down rain. I walked slowly to my closet and grabbed a pair of
jeans, and a long sleeved tunic, then got dressed. Down stairs I could
hear my mom talking to Taylor, she sounded worried, and like she for
once cared about Taylor. I walked into the kitchen, and was met with
Taylor's pleading eyes. I looked to my mom, and gave her a look,
telling her not to go on.

"What's for breakfast?" My dad walked in, not feeling the tension,
that you could cut with a knife, due to is sunshiney mood.

"Scrambled eggs, with ham and cheese. And I cut up some fesh fruit for
us too." My mother was so good at faking a cheery mood, it half
sickened me. I looked back at my sister, she was close to tears.

"Want me to drive you to school today Tay? Cause it's raining..." I
added at the end. She shook her head, then smiled softly at me

"I need to clear my head..." she said, her voice just above a whisper.
I nodded in understanding. I grabbed a plate of food, ate quickly,
then headed upstairs to finish getting ready.

I made it to work just before I needed to be there. So I had about
five minutes to spare. I walked to the staff lounge, and got a cup of
coffee. Then I made my way to my station quickly. When I saw who was
there, again, I stopped dead. But I quickly recomposed my face, and
continued walking over to him. I didn't know what happened between him
and my sister last night, nor was it my business. But I did care about
both of them, and I knew that neither of them were happy, both by the
look on Chris's face, and the way my sister broke down last night.

"Hey Moriah..." he sighed tiredly. I smiled at him, and went over to
hug him.

"Shall we get started?" I asked, holding up my camera. He smiled back,
and nodded, walking over to the green screen.

"Moriah, your sister is here to see you. Should I send her in?" Julie,
the secretary, asked, holding the door open a little. I nodded, and
smiled sweetly at her. My sister walked in, tears streaming down her
red, blotchy face. I ran over to her, catching her before she fell.

"What happened Tay?" I asked, pulling her close to me.

"After you left mom... She kept asking me. I wouldn't tell her, and
she got mad, so we yelled... And we fought. She kicked me out Riah!!!"
she sobbed into my chest, and I rubbed circles on her back.

"Tay Baby?" Chris walked over, looking over my sister. She looked up
at him, and bolted out of my arms, out the door, and into the pouring
rain. Chris following close behind.
