Another Bloody Monday

You Won't See Me Drown When I Sink Or Swim

---Lizzy’s POV

I had just come back from throwing away the pizza box. When I turned around I saw Tokio Hotel walk in. Georg and Gustav sat on one side of the lounge while Bill and Tom came over to me and Violet. I sighed as I slouched into the couch.

“What do you want from me? I don’t remember you guys. Leave me alone!” I yelled.

I saw Rachel got up and walked over to Georg.

“Would you calm down, we just want to hang out. We have to spend at least three months together on a bus; we should at least get along.” Bill said.

“What three months, on a bus, with you? NO WAY.” She yelled.

“Yes, it’s going to happen, would you quiet down?”

“No, who the hell do you think you are telling me what to do?”

“I think I’m the one who doesn’t want to go deaf before, or after, the tour starts.”

“You won’t have to worry about that, because there won’t be a tour, because we are not touring with you.”

“Yes you are, you have to, and the contract’s already been signed.”

“Well that’s too bad because if I didn’t sign it I don’t care. I’m not touring with you.”

“I don’t care what you say but you have to.”

“No I don’t you can’t make me tour with you, just like you can’t make me remember you.”

“Well at least you remember that you don’t remember me.” He said trying to be cute.

“Don’t try and act all cute and sarcastic, it won’t help you any, trust me I know where you’ll be sleeping for three months.” I said loudly, not quite yelling.

“Considering you’ll be sleeping next to me.” He mumbled hoping that I wouldn’t hear him.

“What are you talking about?” I said already getting re-annoyed.

“Well there are probably only four beds so the bands have to share. Georg wants to share with Rachel and Gustav wants to share with Stella, so…” He trailed off.

“You can share with Tom and I’ll share with Violet, did you ever think of that? Considering Violet hates both of you just as much as I do.”

“You’re not going to make this easy for me are you?”

“Make what easy?”

“Nothing.” He said to his feet.

“No tell me, just because I don’t know you doesn’t mean I don’t want to piss you off.”

“It’s nothing, you’ll probably yell at me again.”

“No tell me. Hey maybe it’ll help me remember you.”

“Getting over you.” He muttered trying to keep me from hearing it.

“What are you talking about?”

“I love you.”

“How is that possible? You don’t even know me; even if we did actually know each other when we were younger I’m like a thousand percent different from when I was younger. You can’t love someone you don’t know. It just doesn’t work that way.”

“Well, I love what I remember of you, I don’t think I’ve ever really stopped thinking of you. Most of our songs are about you in some way, or have a reference to you.”

“Well that’s flattering but you don’t love me. Even if you did know me before I’m not that person anymore, listen to me you don’t love me.”

“I understand what you’re saying but I don’t think that’s ever going to change.”

“It will eventually, trust me, a mind is a powerful thing, it can do things you never thought physically possible for your mind. I don’t remember things because I don’t want to, not because they never happened.”

“So you do remember us?”

“I remember twin boys lived next to me and my brother when we were little, I don’t remember who they were.”

“How can you remember someone, without remembering who they were?”

“Because I chose to forget who they were, and why I forgot them, I could never forget someone’s existence.”

“So are you saying you remember us?”

“I don’t know, I’ve had less than 12 hours of knowing that those twins from my childhood might not be dead, that they still exist. It’s a lot to take in for me especially with the way my life’s been in the last ten years since I moved.”

“Maybe by the end of the tour you will?”
“I don’t know, with how stressed I get on tour I doubt it, but if I do, I’ll let you know I guess.”

“Hey you two, Get a room!” I heard Stella yell. Bill and I both turned to see Rachel and Georg making out.

---Rachel

We were sitting around in the lounge area of the studio. Lizzy was just throwing away the pizza box when the guys from Tokio Hotel came in. Gustav and Georg sat down on one of the couches on the other side of the lounge. I looked around at the colorful artwork and various platinum records hung on the walls. I was distracted by Georg signaling me to go over and sit with him.

Lizzy and Violet were yelling at Bill and Tom, and Stella was sitting alone staring at her feet. Gustav was sitting on the opposite side of the lounge. I sat there awkwardly for a few seconds then reluctantly went over. A few minutes later Gustav went over and sat next to Stella.

I sat there nervously no sure what to do. Georg put his arm behind me on the back of the couch. I waited for him to say something.

“How, you doing’?” Was the first thing out of his mouth. How lame

“Really, nice legs, when do they open?” He continued.

“Sorry, that’s by invitation only.”

“If I could rearrange the alphabet, I’d put ‘U’ and ‘I’ together.”

“Can you guess what letters I’d put together?”

“U and I?”

“Nope, ‘F’ and ‘U’”

“That can be arranged.” He said raising an eyebrow.

“In your dreams.” I sighed.

“You bet it will be.”

“God, you’re disgusting.”

“And you’re hot.”

“Okay stop it.” I said getting annoyed.

“I can play that game forever.”

“I see that, you must get a lot of practice.”

“I’m sure you’re just all talk.”

“What makes you so sure of that?”

“Well you haven’t stopped since we started.”

“What?”

“Never mind.”

“Tell me?”

“It’s nothing; close your eyes for a second?”

“Alright, why?”

“Just close your eyes.”

“Fine.”

I closed my eyes. A few seconds later I felt his lips press again mine. I wasn’t sure how to react, partially because he was stronger than me and partially because I was in shock.

“Hey, you two get a room!” I heard Stella yell to us.

I pulled away and pushed him away. I didn’t know what to do and immediately felt my cheeks turning pink.

---Violet

“You don’t get it do you?” I yelled furiously at Tom.

“Get what?” He yelled back.

“The fact that she hates you two! She doesn’t want to talk to you! She doesn’t even want to be near you, and quite honestly neither do I.”

“Then leave, no one’s stopping you.” He yelled back.

“Actually my friends are stopping me, they’re still here so, so am I.”

“Then take your friends and go.”

“Why don’t you leave?”

“Because we have an album to record.”

“So do we, How does that make you so special?”

“Because ours is better, and more important to the label.” He stated braggingly.

“Really? Releasing a mainstream record to an already established mainstream target audience by a boy band that will only appeal to preteen girls, or releasing and album by a band, that has a growing fan base in the underground scene, where the band’s made up of girls which will easily attract both male and female audiences, along with the fact that we also don’t let the record company change our sound so instead of sounding fake and mass produced we sound real and genuine. Yea you guys totally get priority.” I snapped

“Ohhh, underground girl group! Yeah that just screams millions of fans.” He laughed.

“You’d be surprised how many people will listen to something just because it’s not main-stream, like it and tell their friends, that’s how our fan base started; yours started because your song got airplay on the radio.”

“That’s not totally true, we started playing any gig we could get, weddings, school dances, birthday parties, we got recognition then we got airplay.” Tom said trying to make it look like he worked really hard.

“Yeah and we practice, made demos got gigs at any place we could, we even played acoustically all over town, on streets and stuff, just to get people to hear our music, we even went to other cities and did that, we went anywhere we could go to get our demo out there, we passed them out at other concerts and around town and in stores, every day after school we wrote, we practiced, and we all worked our asses off and walked to wherever we needed to go to get it into people’s hands. We eventually got two whole tours through this area of Germany and we were making money off of our homemade merchandise.”

“Okay I get it you worked hard, we worked hard too, but that’s beside the point right now, we’re trying to get through to Lizzy.”

“Good luck with that…” I sighed rolling my eyes doubtfully.

“What?”

“Think about what’s she’s been through, even if she did try to remember you she’s repressed so much her memories might be altered, she’s so stressed out right now she might never remember, she’s also done some things she’s not proud of and anything from that time she got rid of, so for all you know she threw out any letters you sent her or anything else like that.” I said proving to him he was only thinking about himself and his brother.

“Look I’m sure she’s had rough times since she left but all we want it for her to either remember us or try to make a good “first” impression on her now.”

“You still don’t get it do you?” I yelled. “You already made your “first” impression on her, today all off this, this is going to be how she remembers you from now on, there’s absolutely no promise or guarantee that she’ll even talk to you willingly ever.” I continued trying not to yell as much.

“Well she’s going to have to; we have at least two tours to do together.” Tom said looking to his feet.

TWO TOURS? I thought we were only being forced into one tour with you once!” I yelled not even trying to hide my frustration.

“Yeah, we have one really soon, then one after that one’s finished and right around the time our albums are released. The first one’s for like two or three months I believe, then the next one will be at least twice as long.” He said explaining it to me.

“I only knew of the one tour! Since when is there a second one?” I asked confused and pissed off.

“Well it’s not official; the managers are talking about it with the executives.”

“Thank god, we’re only doing one tour.” I sighed in relief.

“What do you mean?” He asked.

“Our manager can get us out of anything, he’s also Lizzy’s brother, so I don’t think we’re going to be doing that second tour, with you anyways.” I said with a smile.

“I dunno, our managers can be pretty persuasive I’m sure, Plus if the executives want something they’ll most likely get it.” He said with an annoying smirk I could tell he was used to giving.

“Well I know one thing for sure; Lizzy will not go on another tour with you guys.” I said trying to hide my arrogance.”

Suddenly I heard Stella yelling, “Hey you two get a room!” She yelled to Georg and Rachel who were just breaking apart, I saw Rachel turning pink. I wasn’t sure what to do so I went back to yelling at Tom.

--- Lizzy

“Well I’ll try not to be too much of a burden, but still how can you not remember us?” He almost yelled angrily.

“Would you leave me alone? I know that I don’t know who you are so stay away from me!” I yelled back.

Arguing with this guy was like arguing with a brick wall, stupid and pointless. He also kept changing moods like our tour bus seems to do occasionally once a month. Yea, I know I basically said that Bill was suffering from PMS, but seriously, one minute he’s yelling at me, the next he’s trying not to yell or he’s trying to get me to calm down. I don’t know what’s going on with him but there is no way I’m going to spend time on a tour bus with that.

I stormed off towards our studio. I heard a footstep behind me but I didn’t look back.

---Violet

“Bill I would not do that if I were you.” I turned to him as he tried to follow Lizzy.

“Why not?” He asked stubbornly.

“Because if you go in there she’ll kick your ass.” I replied.

“I’m so sure. She doesn’t look like she could hurt me. I’m positive her bark is worse than her bite. I mean she’s so small and she doesn’t look threatening.” Bill scoffed.

“Yeah because she didn’t dress like she normally does to go out in public. She threw on an old pair of jeans and a t-shirt so we could get into the studio and record. You should see her when she’s dressed for a gig.” I replied.

“Whatever.” He sighed and walked off towards the studio Lizzy was in.

“Either way nothing you say will change her mind, she’s set in her way of thinking and it’s not going to change!” I yelled to Tom, continuing my argument. I walked off to follow Bill, if Lizzy was going to kick his ass I was going to watch.

“Wait.” He said not sure if he should grab my arm or not. His hand was half way extended and close to my wrist.

“Don’t you dare touch me!” I yelled and walked back into ‘our’ studio.

---Stella

I saw Violet storm off towards our studio, she opened the door and closed it softly behind her. It surprised me that she didn’t slam the door behind her. I got up slowly and walked over to the studio, she was sitting outside the sound-booth. Lizzy and Bill were inside the sound-booth arguing. I went in and sat down next to Violet.

“Leave it to Rachel to make-out with the ugliest guy in the band.” Violet said and we both started laughing. We kept laughing until we couldn’t breathe.

“Holy crap, Liz and Bill are still arguing.” I said.

“Well you know Liz, she’ll only stop when she loses, which you know won’t happen.” Violet said and we both started laughing again as we got up and went back to the lounge.

We sat down with Rachel, Georg and Gustav in the lobby while Tom was sitting alone across the room.

---Lizzy

I slammed the door to the sound booth shut and I picked up my guitar. I was too frustrated to notice that the door hadn’t closed; it had been stopped by Bill.

I just started to play angrily, viciously. I heard someone take two steps from behind me. I didn’t care who it was. It could be a murderer coming to kill me and I wouldn’t care. I’d actually probably be happy. I saw a hand move over the neck of my guitar and cover the strings from the corner of my eye.

I sighed angrily and tried to move the hand away. It didn’t budge.

“Leave.” I growled angrily.

“Calm down.” The annoyingly calm voice that belonged to Bill whispered in my ear.

“Get your hand off my guitar and get out of here.” I continued angrily.
He moved his hand but nothing else. I lifted the guitar and moved the strap from around my neck.

I set down the guitar on the stand and turned to face him.

“Bill, go away.” I said trying to control my emotions. I took a step towards him.

“No.” He replied sounding like an overtired two-year-old refusing to take his nap.

“I really don’t think you want to stay here.” I warned taking another step closer.

“Oh really? Why not?” He asked boldly.

“Because, I really don’t want to lose my recording deal over you.” I said almost dully.

“And why the hell would you lose the contract?” He asked almost stupidly.

“They made me promise not to be violent, and as far as I know punching your lights out is considered violent.” I stated.

“Really? Go ahead and try!” He dared me.

“You know something? For as tough as you think you are, I’m a lot tougher. I don’t care how much taller you are or anything. If my fist makes contact with your face you and you’re brother definitely won’t be identical.” I snapped.

“You really think you could hurt me?” He asked almost in disbelief.

“I know I could, I’ve been kicked out of every school I’ve been to because I wouldn’t stop getting into fights.” I replied kind of stating the obvious.

“No, I don’t mean physical capabilities, I mean emotionally. Do you really think you could stand hurting me?” He questioned.

“Why do you think I couldn’t? You’re no different than anyone else I’ve ever fought with; you’re just like every other person on the play grounds at school.” I stated taking a final step closer.

I was really close to him now. I had to crane my neck to even see his face. He stretched his arms out in front of him. He wrapped them around me and pulled me tightly against his chest.

“Bill! Let go of me!” I yelled and pushed him away.

I had pushed him with little force but he lost his balance. He took a step back. He still had his arms around me. He tripped over a cord that was plugged into an amp and we both fell to the floor. I hit my head off of something and everything went black…
