Scarlet

I counted my steps as I tiptoed along the rocks near the river. I was all alone and happy as anything; it was so good to be outside in the dark windy night. My name is Scarlet and my habit was sneaking out in the middle the night out of my bedroom window to escape outside. It was really weird having a family who are vampires, and you weren’t one because you weren’t bitten. Both my parents tried to hide the fact that they weren’t vampires but it failed on them when I had a big accident. I went thought the window and they showed their fangs and dark eyes. They told me they were vampires and I couldn’t bleed in front of them or they will change. I was always locked in my house at night when my parents took off in the night and they never knew I would take off after them.
