Rule Breaker
Val And Leana
The show ended and all of the guys came backstage exhausted. Kendra told them what a great show they had, and then the girls talked to them briefly for a little bit. Zacky couldn't take his eyes off Abbey the entire time everyone chatted. She just looked so beautiful, and he wanted so badly to just tell her how he felt.
"Does she realize you're practically in love with her?" Syn asked.
Zacky laughed, "She doesn't have the slightest clue. I think she needs more time."
"You don't wanna give her too much time. She's a beautiful girl, Zack. Someone will snag her."
Zacky sighed, and ran a hand through his hair. He wanted to tell her all about his feelings, but he honestly didn't know how. She had been through a lot with Nathan. He didn't know if she was ready to start another relationship or not. He wanted desperately to be with her, but he didn't want to be rejected.
"Just go talk to her." Syn said.
Zacky nodded his head, and walked over to where her and Kendra were standing. They were talking to Jimmy and Matt about something. Abbey's green eyes burned into his as he joined the group. He started to become self conscious. Did he smell from sweating during the show? Did the make-up on his eyes run down his face and make him look like a fool? Was she more attracted to one of the other guys?
"You did amazing, Zack." She said.
He smirked, "Thanks."
Kendra announced that she needed to go, but suggested that Abbey catch a ride from Zack. Abbey wanted to kill her friend at first, but then Zacky actually seemed to not have a problem with taking her home.
"Are you sure it's not a problem?" She asked.
"Abby, I'm positive!" Zacky laughed.
They stayed around backstage with the guys a bit longer. Abbey was introduced to Matt and Jimmy's girlfriends. They gave her an odd look at first, but then eventually warmed up to her. She wondered if they thought she was Zacky's new girlfriend.
"So, how long have you known Zack?" Val asked.
"I guess a little over a year. I work for his mom." Abbey said.
"Oh. So you worked with Gena?" Leana asked.
"Yeah. . ." Abbey sighed.
"We're all so glad he got rid of her." Val smiled, "He deserved someone way better."
Abbey nodded her head. She felt very uncomfortable talking about Gena. She was so happy when Zacky came over and announced they were leaving. She stood up and they walked out of the club and climbed inside his SUV.
"Did you have a good time tonight?"
She smiled, "I had a really good time. It was good to get out."
"You go back to work on Monday." He frowned.
She sighed, "Yeah, and then I'll try to get out and find an apartment sometime next week."
"Abbey!" Zacky scolded, "I thought we discussed this."
"Zack, I know you don't want me staying there forever. You're being really generous and sweet to me. . . and I appreciate everything, but--"
"Stop." He sighed, "If I didn't want you there I would have invited you!" He growled, "I like having you there Abbey. I like your company."
She looked over at him and smiled softly. She really didn't know what to say. She was just happy Zack wanted her living there, but living with him was getting hard. She had went past the crush stage, and already started developing feelings for him. She knew the more she hung out with him, the stronger they would get.
"So, are you sleepy?" Zacky asked, as they pulled into the garage.
"Not really." She said.
He smirked, "Great. We can watch some movies again." Zacky grinned.
She nodded her head and walked inside the house with him. She told him she was gonna change into something more comfortable. She walked up the stairs and quickly changed into a pair of shorts and a shirt. She walked down the stairs and saw Zacky already on the couch, and a movie was playing on the screen.
She licked over her lips and debated on talking to him about the feelings she had. She still wasn't sure if he felt the same way that she did. She also didn't' want to make an ass out of herself. She decided that until she knew his feelings for her that she wasn't going to tell him anything about her feelings. She knew that may be a stupid way to go about things, especially since Kendra seemed confident that Zacky felt the same way, but Abbey just didn't want to be rejected.
She knew she had liked him for awhile. It was obvious, even though she had tried to hide it and deny it. She sighed. Maybe a little casual flirting wouldn't be bad. . .
