Rule Breaker

Shut Up

Abbey sat in her room on the edge of the bed for at least an hour debating on what had just happened in the hallway. She couldn't believe she had admitted her feelings to Zacky, found out he felt the same way, and then agreed to go on a date with him. This entire time she had thought she would be a horrible person if she went on a date with him. She had always said she would never be the girl who dated her friends ex. She had lived by that one rule when it came to potential boyfriends. If they had dated a friend of hers, then she wouldn't even give them a chance.

But Zacky was different, and she no longer considered Gena a friend. Clearly, she wasn't Gena's friend to begin with considering she had slept with Nathan. She smiled as she finally convinced herself that going on a date with Zacky would not be anything bad. She licked over her lips as she stood up and decided to walk down the stairs and see what he was up to.

She found him sitting on the couch petting his dog as he watched something on the television. He looked up when he sensed her presence and smiled.

"So, I see little Miss Rule Breaker decided to join me." Zacky smirked.

"Little Miss Rule Breaker?" She questioned.

"I think that nick name suits you."

She laughed, "Okay, I was being a little bit silly with the whole rule thing."

"You were, but it's okay. You're booked up for Saturday and you can't cancel it."

"What if I get sick?" She asked, half smiling.

"You won't get sick. I'll see to that. Remember, you live with me." He winked.

She laughed and smiled, as she sat down beside him. He licked over his pierced lips and grabbed the remote and turned the television off. He turned to look at her and a cocky grin spread across his lips, making a slight blush rise to her cheeks.

"You're adorable when you blush." Zacky laughed.

"Oh God. Shut up."

He laughed, "It's not nice to tell a potential boyfriend to shut up." He smirked.

She looked into his green eyes and couldn't help but to feel happy. Him saying that had proved that he was serious about possibly starting a relationship with her. She knew it was soon to be jumping right back into one. Especially with someone like Zack. He wasn't your normal guy. He was a rock star, and not to mention-- she was now living with him as a guest. That just mad everything even more complicated.

"You're thinking about something." Zacky pointed out.

"I am." She admitted, "About what you just said."

"What about it?" He questioned.

"Do you know how complicated a relationship would be?" She asked with a sigh.

She figured being honest and blunt with her feelings and opinions were the best way to be with him. He was eventually going to figure everything out anyways. She really cared about him and she wanted something to happen with him, so she didn't want to hide anything.

"Why would it be complicated?" He asked.

"Zack!" She groaned, "You're a freaking rock star, not to mention I'm a guest in your home."

He looked at her for a few moments, clearly not getting what she was talking about. How would him being in a famous band and her living with him make things complicated? If anything he would assume that would make it easier for them.

"How would my career complicate things?" He asked.

She frowned, "Women all over America want you. . . I don't do well with people hating me. Could you imagine the people that hated me if we got together?" She asked, and before he could say anything she said something else, "I remember Gena always complaining because your fans said so many things about her."

"Things that deserved to be said though," Zacky said, "We have amazing fans. They know how to judge people. If you noticed they adore Val and some of the other girls."

"But. . . I'm not Val."

"True, but you're also not Gena. Abbey, people look at you and can tell you're a sweet heart."

She sighed, "What about me living with you? That will complicate things."

"How the hell is that going to complicate things?" He asked, "That would make it easier, especially with a busy schedule."

"Zacky! We aren't even dating yet. . . and we live together. Do you not find that a little weird?"

"Nope." He said, popping the P.

"You're not looking at this from the same angle I am." She stated.

He chuckled, "Obviously." He said, and then licked over his lips, "You're just trying to find all the flaws that could be in our relationship. You're not looking at the good that could come out of it."

"Those aren't flaws." She said, before he got the wrong idea. She didn't want him to think she couldn't handle his career. "They are merely things that I might have a difficulty dealing with. I mean, I've only dated normal guys before. . . I've never dated someone famous."

He smirked, "You'll get used to it."

She sighed, "You aren't making this easy on me."

He laughed as he leaned over and planted a smooth kiss on her lips. She looked so adorable when she was frustrated.

"So, with all this talk about us dating. . ." He smirked, "Does that mean we are?"

"Are what?" She asked.

He chuckled, "Dating."

"I don't know." She sighed, "I really like you." She said, biting down on her bottom lip.

"Then we're dating." He said.

"Zacky! You didn't even ask me."

"I don't need to." He laughed, "It's not like you're going to tell me no."

"You're so cocky right now."

He smirked, "Just a little bit." He said with a wink.

She couldn't help but to smile. She was now his girlfriend whether she was ready for it or not. She took in a deep breath, knowing she just needed to take this relationship one day at a time.
