It All Started at an Amusement Park
Chapter 9
The next morning, I woke up early, which I thought was odd because I didn't have to go to work, and I still woke up. I'm guessing my sleeping habits got used to it.
Anyway, when I checked my phone it said 9:30. As I went downstairs, I saw the same old note, beginning to think my uncle was just kidding when he'd said I'd have off. But that was until I actually read the note:
SOPHIA,
HAVE A GREAT TIME OFF OF
WORK! ENJOY YOURSELF!

I was a little taken back, re-reading the note to make sure I read it correctly. He was actually wishing I had a good time, and sounded excited about me being off work. This only ever happened after one thing:
He met someone.
And not just anyone, but someone he liked. It's only ever happened once before, but I was sure that's why he left me the note. He was trying to show his happiness. It was either this or something dealing with work.
I tossed the note aside as I went back upstairs, starting to get ready for the day. After I got out of the shower, I walked back into my room as my phone beeped, signalling I had a new text. So I picked up my phone and read the message:
Hey! Just wanted to ask if you wanted
to join us a little early. Family BBQ.
-Joe :)
Hmm..... sit around here all day or go to the Jonas family BBQ? What would you do? I quickly texted him back:
Sure. What Time Should I Be There?
-Sophia <3
