Your Eyes Tell Me What I Need to Know

Nine

Looking into his eyes, Katrina wasn’t sure if she should back away from him or if she should see what he was thinking. Her heart was beating wildly in anticipation of what was to come. When she felt his lips on hers, she didn’t know what to do, since the last time this happened, it didn’t end so well. The only problem was her heart and her head were saying two completely different things.

Hank’s lips met hers in a soft kiss. She was surprised that he was initiating this, but one thing was certain, she didn’t want him to stop. His hands went to her hips and brought her closer to him and her hands went to his back and under his shirt. The feel of his skin made her skin tingle. The need for air was the only thing to separate their lips. Hank pulled his sweatshirt off of her and dropped it to the floor as his lips found her neck. Feeling his teeth behind her ear, she tried to keep the moan she felt rising to herself, but no such luck.

His hands went under her tank and to her stomach as she moved her lips back to his. Her hands came out from under his shirt to start to pull it over his head and drop it onto the floor. Soon they were left only in their underwear. Katrina let out a content sigh when she felt his lips on her chest between her breasts. One of his hands on the outside of her bra as she ran her hand through his hair. What Hank was making her feel, was intoxicating and she never wanted it to stop, not now not ever. Feeling the straps of her bra fall loose

Hank’s lips were barely a millimeter away from hers. His eyes looked into hers asking the question that needed an answer, but he didn’t have to use words. Katrina knew what he was asking, his eyes said it all.

Katrina didn’t say anything, she just brought her lips back to his and let her hands wander up the skin of his stomach and ran one hand up and down his back while the other had his the tops of his boxers in-between her fingers. Hank slowly backed her towards the couch, his lips not leaving hers. When they were both lying down, Katrina withdrew her hand from Hank’s back so she could rid him of what was left of his clothing. And she did, letting it fall to the floor beside the couch.

When his lips broke from hers, she gasped in surprise when she felt his tongue slid from the valley between her breasts to her neck where he bit her. She arched her jaw, to give him better access as she ran one hand down his bare back and the other through his hair. She hadn’t felt his hands leave her side until she felt a tug on the elastic band of her black bikini underwear. Moving her body up from the couch, she allowed him to take them off her and he dropped them behind the couch. He was already hard, and Katrina smiled at that as he took one of her breasts into his mouth while he fondled the other one with his hand.

Her hand that had been trailing up and down Hank’s spine stopped as she dug her nails into his back at the pleasure that was coursing through her. Feeling how hard he was, just made her want him even more than she already did. Taking his lips onto hers, he pressed closer to her.

As his lips broke the kiss they went back to her skin, Hank noticed the ink on her skin. It was a single shooting star right above her hip, moving his eyes to her other hip, he saw the same thing. He couldn’t contain the groan as he felt himself become even harder then he already was. Moving his head from her body, he met her lips in a kiss that made her toes curl.

When the kiss broke this time, Hank’s arms were next to her and his silver chain dangling from his neck. With a grin, she grabbed it and brought him back down to her level. Hank watched her lips as they made their way to his, but as he went to kiss her, she moved her lips to his throat and he let out the groan. There was something about Katrina that drove him crazy. As her kisses trailed from the side of his neck and down to his shoulder as her hands played with his hair, before ever so slowly, she brought her hands down his neck and then to his back. She knew exactly what she was doing, Hank could tell with the grin that was on her face.

“Why is it the clothes that cover more are on the other side of the couch?” she whispered into his ear before gasping in surprise when he took one of her breasts into his mouth and bit down lightly on it. “Damn, Hank,” she moaned before her head came down to her neck and bit it harder than she intended to, but he didn’t seem to mind what so ever.

When she felt him push himself into her ever so slowly, she felt as if she wanted to explode. Looking up into his eyes, she knew that he knew exactly what he was doing. It took a few seconds to adjust to having Hank inside her. She wrapped her left leg around his hip as he thrust further into her. Hank looked at her to make sure she was okay, with what was happening and upon seeing her smile he continued. As easily as he entered her he withdrew himself. Katrina looked at him confused. She didn’t have to wait long for the answer, because he pounded himself into her at a fast pace.

“Hank…..” she panted right before her release came. And once it did, it felt amazing.
When she started moaning his name, Hank could feel his own release coming. As he let out a throaty groan, he tensed up before shooting himself into her. Breathing heavily, he pulled himself out of her. Kissing her softly, he grabbed the blanket that was on the back of the couch and threw it over their bodies.

“Now, that’s what I call a celebration.” Katrina smiled as she felt Hank’s arm tighten around her waist.

“It was pretty amazing,” Hank agreed as he moved some of her hair out of her face. “I’d love to have you celebrate one of my wins with me.”

“I bet I can make it worth it,” Katrina said as she closed her eyes and shifted her body so she was closer to Hank.

Opening her eyes, Katrina noticed she wasn’t out on the couch anymore and Hank wasn’t next to her, she was however still naked. The things he made her feel, there was no way that could be a dream. She might not know who this Caitlin woman was, but she was glad that she let Hank go, otherwise she might not have gotten to experience one of the best evenings of her life. Sitting up in the bed, she looked to the bedside table and saw that her phone was where she left it. Grabbing it she touched the screen so that she could see if there were any missed calls or text messages. There were three missed calls and a text message from Shannon. That was a bit surprising, so she called her back, hoping everything would be alright.

“Thanks for calling me back,” Shannon said, her voice soft and uneasy. “I know that you want to celebrate your win and everything, but I think you should get to the hospital.”

“Hospital?” Katrina asked, her stomach dropping.

“Yeah, Brittany and I were catching our cab to the airport, but she got hit by a car going full speed. She was getting in on the street side of the cab,” Shannon said, as she choked on her words. “They don’t know if she’s gonna wake up, I think you should be here. You two were close.”

“I’ll be right there, tell her to hold on and I’m coming.” Katrina said hanging up her phone with tears in her eyes.

Taking the blankets off her, she made her way to her soccer bag and pulled out the extra pair of underwear she had in there and slipped them on before grabbing the extra bra as well. Once she was good, she grabbed her dress and slipped it back on. Grabbing her heels out of her bag, she bent down to buckle them before grabbing her coat and slipping it on. Taking her clutch bag out of her soccer bag, she tossed it next to the coat that she had on earlier. Walking into the bathroom, she saw how she looked and she let out a sigh. There wasn’t time for anything. Splashing some water on her face she then ran her hand through her hair before heading out of the bathroom. Grabbing her clutch and coat she left the room and yet she didn’t see Hank anywhere. Heading to the door, she saw a note taped on it.

Kitty,

I didn’t mean to run out on you, but you looked so beautiful that I didn’t have the heart to wake you up. I’ll be back soon, make yourself at home.

Hank

Opening the door she saw his car keys were gone, which meant she would have to call for a taxi. She didn’t want to, but she knew it was her only option. Closing the door behind her, she turned and locked it before walking down towards the elevator. The ride down seemed to take forever, getting to the front desk; she asked them to call her a cab. With a nod of his head, the man in front of the desk did just that. It was only a few minutes, but one was outside ready to take her to where it was she wanted to go.

Sliding into the cab, she told him the hospital Shannon had texted to her. She hoped that Brittany would be okay. Brittany Bock was a twenty two year old defender. She was always so full of life, she couldn’t image why this would happen to her. Being one of her good friends, she wanted to give Brittany space after her loss. She knew that it was hard since they were no longer on the same team. They had been roommates a few times and that was when they had gotten close.

The ride to the hospital seemed to take forever and she couldn’t help but wonder if she would want to see her. She might not have been the reason for what happened, but she couldn’t help but feel like shit about it. Never would she wish this upon anyone. Brittany has so much going for her and she was so young too. Seeing people out and about made Katrina look away, she couldn’t help but feel saddened and she hadn’t even Brittany yet. Nothing would be able to prepare her for this and if she lost Brittany, there would be no way to know what she would do. It would feel as if she was losing people left and right. It didn’t feel that long ago that she had to bury the people that raised her, her grandfather and grandmother.

Hearing Limp Bizkit’s version of Behind Blue Eyes coming from her phone, she opened her clutch and picked up her phone. Seeing Hank’s face smiling at her, only made her feel a little better, not much, but it was something,

“Hi.”

“You took off on me?”

“I’d rather be with you right now,” Katrina sighed. “But something important that couldn’t wait needed my attention.”

“Kitty, are you okay?”

“I don’t know,” she admitted. “I just don’t know what will happen if she doesn’t make it.”

“What happened?”

“Brittany was hit by a car when she and Shannon were getting into a cab so they could catch their flight. Shannon said that they don’t know if she’ll wake up. This isn’t right Hank, she’s so young and she’s a really great person.”

“What hospital are you going to? I’ll meet you there.”

“I’m here,” Katrina told him. “And there are a lot of paparazzi already here. I’ve got to go Hank.”

Handing the money over to the cabbie, she got out of the yellow cab and started walking towards where there were a mass amount of what she knew where to be curious minds. It was at this time she wished they didn’t know who she was, but there was no use in trying that. Placing her phone back in her clutch she walked through the open spot of the mob of cameras and people and straight into the hospital. She heard the questions being thrown out at her, but none of them registered with her. All she could think about was how she had to get to Shannon who would take her to Brittany. Once she was near the elevators she looked back at the exit where she had come in at and saw that some cameras were clicking away while she was standing there waiting for the elevator to make its descent so that she could get on and check on her friend. This was hard as it was, but to have the media all around was going to make it even worse, some of them had the decency to leave them alone at times like these, but some didn’t care. All they cared about was that one shot that would give them a better paycheck than their competition. Running a hand through her hair, she watched as the elevator doors opened and she stepped inside and hit her floor before standing in the back of the elevator.

There was no way that she would ever get over this if Brittany didn’t make it. It might not have been her fault, but it was her friend, someone she spent a lot of time with in the past years when she had been part of the Los Angeles Sol. She might not be one of them at the moment, but the bonds she made with the women there, could never die. Shannon Boxx was living proof of that. Hearing her text message go off, she opened her clutch and she took it out and saw it was Hank again. Looking at it, she didn’t reply, but she put her phone on silent. She knew he just wanted to help in whatever way he could and to be there for her, but there was nothing he could do until she found out what was happening. As the elevator doors opened on her floor, she took a deep breath as she got out.

Seeing Shannon across the hall she made her way towards her as fast as she could. When she reached her, she saw the tears in her eyes and that her eyes were red and puffy. Katrina knew things weren’t looking well for her friend.

While dealing with real life, this chapter just kind of happened, part of it was planned and part of it wasn't. Either way, I hope you enjoy it.
