As Twilight Falls

In the forest, I perched silently in the trees, waiting for my prey.
If your asking, No I don't drink human blood, well I don't drink human blood, anymore
I used to, when I was still confused with my life.
I really didn't want it, it was the wrong kind of second chance.
Second chances shouldn't be given to evil.
I sighed and saw my prey, Rabbits.
"Better make the best of it, Alec" said a voice behind me.
I snapped my head back to see Cedric.
"Yo dude! Where've you been?" I asked with a smile as I jumped down to the ground.
He shrugged, "I had a feeling of something bad."
Yes, you're right. She is bad.
"Bad? Well, nothings been bad." I said lying. Maybe it would better if I didn't tell him about Jamie and her mouth watering stench.
"Huh. Really? I could have sworn..well if nothing bad's happening I guess I should come back to school tomorrow." Cedric smiled as he put his hands in his pockets.
I nodded "Speaking of school, I think it's my turn to take an absent"
Cedric furrowed his eyebrows "Why?"
I shrugged "Uh. I just need some deep thinking."
He rolled his eyes "You? Deep thinking? That's gonna take weeks!!"
I glared at him while he howled in laughter at his joke.
He sighed and whipped his eyes, pretending he had tears.
I rolled my eyes "Would you like to accompany me in hunting?"
Cedric's smile grew. "Why of course"

After hunting, we were too full, well I think it was just me.
Thinking of Jamie's sweet smell made all the blood of the animals tasteless, bland.
Making me want more and more blood to make me last for weeks, but with one whiff of Jamie's smell..
I shooked my head destroying the thoughts.
"You ate quite a lot there man. you act like you haven't eaten in years!!" Cedric howled.
I shrugged "Well you know me, When thirst comes it's really hard for me to stop"
He nodded in agreement. "Yeah. would you mind really telling me why your making an absent tomorrow?"
I inhaled. "it's complicated"
"I have eternity." He snickered.
