I'm a Pirate and You are a Princess
Chapter 1
"Have you seen the wedding dress of young Charlotte?"
The maids scattered around the castle like microscopic ants, tempting for a little kid to
crush them with the sole of her foot.
"It is gorgeous isn't it? The work of the Head Maid herself!"
As I sat there like a puppet, doing every order as the Queen wishes.
"The finest silk imported from Anicha and the fluff cotton from the Sacred Fields. How
lucky can the young Charlotte be?"
The Wedding is tomorrow, held in the Town Square Rose Park.
"Oh my, how it is great to be in love again!"
Funny how you should put that, for I am not a bit interested in the subject of love.
"And that handsome Prince Hallen!" all the maids sighed at the echoes of his name.
Prince Hallen? Ha. What a very hilarious name. It sounds feminine.
"Charlotte? You may come out now Mistress. We are very fond of seeing you in your--"
Wedding Dress. I know.

I walked out of the dressing room and found myself staring at the floor as I walked. As I
halt to a stop and look upon the maids' faces, all of them had either a tear in their eye or a
very enormous grin on their faces. I felt like a clown, ready to perform the Grand Finale.
"Its gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous! Perfect for tomorrow!" the maids repeatedly
commented. As the maids finished gawking at the putrid dress and scurried on out of the
room, I stared myself at the mirror for the first time in the dress. The dress were tightly
squeezed towards my body as it tortured me to breathe in. The silky fabric annoyed me as
much as frills on the dress bothered and itched me to death. The wedding dress made me
look nothing more like a ghost.
The door creaked open as I spun around in panic. But soon as I saw him, I sighed. "Its
just you, Demitri. Please don't scare me like that."
Demitri began to gawk at me like the hungry carnivorous maids were. I began to pout.
"WHAT?"
Demitri jumped and had a sorrowful look on his face, his mind was so easy to read due
to his facial features. "I'm sorry Charlotte." Demitri began his words with a shaking voice.
"You just look awfully beautiful in that dress." His face became red as a bright rose.
I couldn't help myself but to giggle. Demitri was no other but a heir to a royal family as
well, but was engaged with another princess overseas. Demitri and I were childhood
friends ever since we played with each other in the Town Square Rose Park. In the park,
Demitri was the most vulnerable child there and was tortured constantly by the town
children. Seeing this, I had to be his bodyguard, in order not to let him be killed.
"Will you come?" I asked. "To the wedding, I mean."
"Do you want me to?" Demitri questioned with a pitiful face.
"There is no need to." I smiled.
Demitri nodded and looked at me. "I know that smile." What in the name of hell are you
going to do?"
"What I have always wanted to do in sixteen years." I slowly walked closer and held my
lips near his ear. " I am going to escape."
