This is How it All Started: Part 2

Alison was outside riding her bike just wasting some time until Jon would come
back. Riding around in cirlces had gotten boring for her, so she rode back into
her garage to put her bike away when a car across the street pulled into its
driveway. Ali took off her helmet and ran across the road to greet her best
friend, Jon.

"Hey, what's up?" asked Jon, as he started to get out of the car and unpack the
trunk with his bags.

"Not much, you're the one with the epic story he needs to tell me." said Ali.

"Please. Epic? It wasn't that great, you know." said Jon, cooly.

"Are you kidding? You leave me for a week and now you have nothing to say?"

"Well...."

"HA! That's what I THOUGHT!"

"Shut up," said Jon, shutting the trunk and taking his bags. "It wasn't like I
was gone for a month. And I'm guessing I didn't leave the week of your peroid.
You seem a little irritable. Do you have some sand in your vagina?" he asked,
trying to sound like Cartman, from South Park.

"You need to stop watching that damn show. Go and unpack your things and then
come over my house for dinner, okay?" said Alison, starting to walk away down
the driveway.

"Yeah, I don't need any help unpacking," said Jon, sarcastically.

"I didn't think so!" called Alison from her door. Jon rolled his eyes and went
inside to his parent's house and up into his room.

The walls were covered with posters of various bands. Some old; some new. Some
the common teenager has never even heard of. Never the less, Jon was a musical
person. He unpacked some of his dirty clothes and put them in the hamper. "I
hope she knows what she's getting into. I know she's gonna take the offer.
Well...if they make an offer. I hope they do, anyway. She's got talent. And lots
of it." Jon got lost in his thoughts for a while and then walked out the front
door and went to Alisons for dinner.

**

"Thank you for supper," said Jon, pushing his spotless plate away from him "It
was great, Mrs. Manning."

"Oh, it's my pleasure, Jon." replied Ali's mom. "Tell us about that recording
camp you went to. I'm sure you had lots of fun."

"Oh I did."

"Yeah, now he tells us," muttered Alison.

"Ali, be quiet. I'm trying to tell a story here," said Jon, sarcastically. "ANYway...like I was saying...it was great. We learned how to record and mix all sorts of different tracks. And I was even able to take a song by Lit and mix it and make it sound a whole lot different. I have it with me if you'd like to hear it. But yeah. That's pretty much it. We just learned a few things about it, played music, hung out. It was great. And my instructor, Rob Olympus, he's a proffesional producer. I told him all about you, Alison. He said that he'd be happy to record your songs and make a CD out of them."

Silence.
