Youth and Beauty

Being on a plane changes your view of things. Towns look different. You can't see everything about one until you're flying high above it, seeing all angles, all of the flaws, all its imperfections. You can think you know what it is, but when you're so close, things blur.

People are the same way.

That was how it was when I met my host family, Adamson family. They were a simple, average looking family from the outside. Andrew, the father, was a director/producer that had had box office hits like Shrek and the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. His wife, Donna, was a homemaker, who played the perfect housewife, making amazing dinner meals, and keeping the house spotless. After arriving in New Zealand and spending the first day with them, I realized there was nothing average about them.
