Sink Into Me
Forty.
Like I said, as if that was going to happen.
It did start off okay though, I‘d say about half and hour in it began, I closed my eyes and let the music take over my thoughts, that was until Adam decided he was bored and started to elbow me in the ribs continuously.
“Lay off!” I spat.
“Or what, Rubano?” Adam smirked.
“You don’t have to show off all the time, you know!”
“Me? Show off? Take a look at yourself!” He retorted.
“Whatever Adam, just stop elbowing me and pretend I don’t exist like I’m doing for you”
“You have no idea” I heard him mumble.

“What?” I questioned.
“What? You’re hearing things” He rolled his eyes.
“Yeah okay, whatever you say” I shrugged as I placed my earphones in my ears once more.
We were scheduled to arrive in LAX at Eleven Thirty, and the last time I checked it was Ten Thirty, time was on my side.Adam did leave me alone after that for a while, but nothing lasts forever does it?

“Why do you insist on annoying me?” I growled as I pushed his arm off of my arm-rest.
“Because you’re very easy to wind up” He shrugged.
“That’s no excuse!” I spat.
“Well I haven’t got a better one, so it’s all you’re getting” He smirked.
“I’ll tell you something, you have crazy ass mood swings”
“What the?”
“One minute you’ll be civil then the next you’re all like “fuck you Taylor” I said imitating him.
“You’re one to talk, you’re exactly the same!” He protested.
“Whatever you say”
I knew he was right, but I wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction of me admitting he was right/
“You’re such a bitch” He sighed.
“And you’re such a dick, you need to get new insults” I retorted.
Adam didn’t speak a word to me after that which I was pretty relieved about, it was pretty weird though, the silence, that is. Well you can’t exactly call it silence because I was listening to music but there was a weird atmosphere, I couldn’t pin point what it’s main cause was though, probably my comeback.
Finally the runway was in sight, I couldn’t help but grin; I was in L.A
As soon as the plane had landed I undid my seatbelt and jumped over Adam to get in line with the people who’d already stood up to get off of the plane. I couldn’t believe I was in L.A, I’d always wanted to go but I’d never had the opportunity, but that’s all changed now, HALLELUJAH!
I took the steps down the plane like there was no tomorrow, there was no words to describe how excited I was.
“Come on, kid! Lets go and get everything” Matt smirked as he ruffled my head.
“PATRONISING GIT! DON’T START MATTHEW!” I glared.
He just winked in response and began to drag me towards the luggage as the others followed in persuit.
“So what’s actually going on today?” I questioned.
“We’re going to drop our suitcases off at the hotel then head down to the set and sort out the clothes and things like that and meet everyone and then start filming probably sometime this evening” Matt replied.
“Sweet! It’s going to be a good day then” I grinned.
“You betcha!” Matt winked.
The hour after we got off of the plane was a blur, no-one stopped moving, it was like we were on a mission. The ride to the hotel was fast, us walking through the hotel up the elevator then locating rooms and dumping suitcases then going back down the elevator was bad enough, let alone jumping in the taxi then straight away moving on set, I wasn’t used to all the walking and fastness.
Lidia and I had no idea what to do or where to go so we decided to just wander around the set, needless to say it was amazing; There were extras everywhere, excitement evident in their voices, I couldn’t help but smile at that, how amazing it must be to be a part of a music video for one of your favourite bands, I noticed Hayden was there too, the girl from the fair, man, she must’ve travelled over early.
“Hey!” Hayden smiled as she made her way over to Lidia and I.
“Hey! You’re Hayden, right?” I grinned.
“That I am, and you’re the girl I helped Adam soak. Apologies” she chuckled.
“Hah, no worries. I’m Taylor, and this is Lidia” I said pointing to Lidia who waved in response.
“Awesome! Nice to meet ya’ll, are you extras in the video?” She questioned.
“Nope, family and well girlfriend business” I chuckled
“Family and girlfriend business?” she asked.
“Yeah, I’m Matt’s cousin and she’s his girlfriend, we’re fans too though”
“Oh! Well that’s awesome!” she grinned.
“Hey Tay I’m going to go and find the guys, it was nice to meet you Hayden!” she smiled.
“You too, Lidia!”
Lidia smiled once more in response and began to walk away.
“That’s pretty cool that you’re Matt’s cousin” she said.
“Hah, thanks, he’s a goofball” I chuckled.
“I bet” she laughed.
Hayden was actually a really nice girl, she wasn’t the type to be like HEY YOU’RE MATT RUBANO’S COUSIN CAN I MEET THE BAND?! Type, which was really nice and such a relief.
“Have you met any of the guys yet?” I questioned.
“Erm, only Adam at the fair a week ago, I’ve not met anyone today”
“Do you want to?” I asked.
A smile spread across her face.
“Come on then” I chuckled as I linked arms with her.
We began walking through the set in hope of finding one of or all of the guys, I didn’t realise how big the set was until I couldn’t find anyone at all, but luckily, that didn’t last long.
We came across Lidia, Matt, Mark, Fred and Eddie all laughing and joking near the “makeup” section of the set.
“Hey guys!” I cheered as I pulled Hayden along with me.
“Hey Tay! Who’s this?” Matt questioned.
“Matt, Eddie, Fred, and Mark I’d like you to meet Hayden, she’s a big fan of you guys” I grinned.
“Hey Hayden!” They all exclaimed as Hayden waved enthusiastically.
“Nice to meet you guys” she grinned in response.
“You too!” They replied in unison.
“Hey Taylor, have you seen Adam?” Matt asked me.
“No I haven’t..why?” I asked.
“We’ve not seen him in a while and we’ve got to go and sort everything out before we can start filming” Matt said.
“You want me to go look for him don’t you?” I questioned as I narrowed my eyes at Matt.
“Please?”
“Why can’t you do it!” I protested.
“Because I’ve got band stuff to sort out, please, Taylor?” Matt begged.
“Fine!” I scoffed as I rolled my eyes.
“I’ll come with you if you want?” Hayden offered.
I love this girl.
“That would be awesome, thank you!” I exclaimed as I linked arms with her once more and drug her away from the others.
I had no idea where to look, considering it was such a big set and all, but I didn’t have to look that far.
“Hey, isn’t that Adam?” Hayden questioned as she pointed.
I suddenly felt a rush of emotions take over me as I took in the sight that was playing not that far away from Hayden and I. It was Adam alright, and he was all over a girl, a pretty girl at that.
A lump rose in my throat.
