Sequel: Carpe Diem

Sink Into Me

Fifty Two.

I couldn’t have been more thankful when shooting was over, I just wanted to go and lie down and just forget about what happened with Adam for the rest of my life, but, as things go, I couldn’t do that just yet.

“We’re going out to celebrate!” Matt exclaimed as he burst into our hotel room.

“I’ll pass” I mumbled as I curled up on the bed.

“Don’t be like that, Taylor! It’ll be fun!” Fred said excitedly.

I just rolled my eyes in response.

“COME ON, KID! WE CAN GET DRUNK!” Lidia shouted as she jumped up on my bed.

“We’re eighteen you doofus, we can’t even buy drink legally!” I laughed.

“I CAN, THOUGH!” Matt cheered.

“There’s no way I’m getting out of this am I?” I huffed.

“No way in hell” Hayden said as she walked in.

“But I don’t want to go!” I whined.

“We all have to do things we don’t want to do” Lidia scoffed.

I just rolled my eyes.

“Fine, if it shuts all of you up I’ll go, when are we leaving?”

“In about twenty minutes” Matt replied.

“And where exactly are we going?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Well, we’re flying home tomorrow, we might as well spend our last night in L.A at a club” Fred laughed.

“Come on, I’ll help you get ready!” Hayden cheered as she pulled me roughly off the bed.

“Mind being a bit more gentle?” I playfully glared.

“No, now come on!” she said as she pulled me into the bathroom.

I was forced to sit on the edge of the bath whilst Hayden “took care of my face and hair” for all I knew she could have been making me either look like a monster, or a hooker. I didn’t really want to see what I looked like as I had a feeling I wasn’t going to like it, just because she stood there with a permanent smirk fixed to her face.

“What are you doing to me?!” I whined as I tried to move out of her grasp.

“Oh quit whining I’m done!” She laughed.

What I saw was nothing which I was expecting to see. Hayden had curled my long blonde hair and pinned the left side back slightly, and she straightened my bangs so that they swept over to the right side of my head neatly. As for my makeup, she’d applied quite heavy eyeliner around my blue eyes, as well as heavy mascara to my eyelashes and a shade of pink lipgloss to my lips. It looked nothing like me, I mean, sure I applied make up every day, but I’d never looked as, I don’t know, good as she made me look.

“I don’t look like myself” I chuckled “but wow, Hayden, you have a gift”

“I take it you like it then?” She laughed.

“I love it, I’m not going to lie, I was scared you were going to make me look like a hooker or something”

“Me?!” She exclaimed, faking shock.

I hit her playfully in the arm.

“I’ve just realised something”

“What?” I questioned.

“You’ve not gotten changed yet” She laughed.

“Oh yeah, shit.”

“Don’t worry, I have the perfect dress for you to wear, and I’ll help you get it on, super hero Hayden will save the day!” She exclaimed as she did a super hero pose.

“You loser” I scoffed.

“Don’t insult me, I’m helping you here” she grinned.

That was true.

“Okay, okay! Now let me see this dress to see if I approve” I smirked.

She grinned as she walked out of the bathroom and closed the door behind her. I couldn’t help but look in the mirror and smile at myself, Hayden really had done a good job, I had to give it to her. She burst in again with the dress in hand, needless to say I was once again gobsmacked.
It was a strapless blue dress that had quite a ruched style to it, as well as having a black belt to go around it with a patterned silver buckle. It was absolutely gorgeous.

“Hayden, it’s gorgeous”

“I’m glad you think so, now strip woman! I have to get you in this thing” She laughed.

I chuckled in response and for once in my life did what I was told, and in all honesty, I couldn’t wait to get in the dress. Once Hayden had finished tugging and pulling bits into place she stood back and admired her work, I couldn’t help but laugh.

“Man, I am good” She smirked.

“You’re amazing” I winked as I looked at myself in the mirror once more.

“Oh I know, now it’s my turn to get ready, so I shall go and pick my outfit and get changed whilst you select which shoes you would like to wear with your dress madam” She laughed as she ushered me out of the bathroom.
There were so many different shoes to choose from, I think Hayden had a shoe obsession, but there was one pair that immediately caught my eye. A pair of patent black heels with a black bow on the front, they weren’t too fancy, but they were perfect.

“Good choice” Hayden said from behind me, startling me.

“Jeeze, way to scary me half to death” I laughed.

“Suck it up” she winked.

“Hayden you look amazing” I grinned.

“As do you, as do you!”

A knock at the door interrupted our conversation.

“Come on you two! We’re all meeting in the lobby in five” Matt shouted from the other side of the door.

“We might aswell leave now, so we don’t have to do that embarrassing walk of shame and probably end up tripping over” Hayden laughed, linking her arm with mine.

“I couldn’t agree more, lets go” I cheered.

I’d been too busy to think about what had happened with Adam earlier, but it was all starting to come back now. I don’t know what I was thinking, and it made me angry how I couldn’t take my frustration out in public, not only in my head. I mean, I trusted Hayden with my life, over the past four weeks she’d become pretty much my best friend, but I didn’t want to hear her “You’re feeling like this because you like Adam” bullshit. I guess I was going to have to keep myself to myself, well, for now at least.

“Show time.” she smirked.
