Shannon Millard, a miserable 15-year-old, comes face-to-face with reality when she founds out about the huge 2012 scare. Everyone is going insane about the day that is about to come, and Shannon has no idea what to do. She is completely alone. Most people say that you're supposed to reach your epiphany at age 85 or 90, but everyone else seems to have gone that distance except for Shannon.
