Maggie Baker's parents died in a terrible car accident, leaving her and her younger sister, Madeline, up for adoption. After Madeline was happily adopted, Maggie is left in the orphanage with her two friends, Suzie and Scarlett.
Sebastien Westing and his four friends all ran away from home, and are now living in an abandon, broken down warehouse on the outskirts of a small town in North Carolina. Sebastien and Whitney, one of the four teens, prefer to work for a living, and leave stealing to a last resort. Unlike them, the other three, Matt, Garrett, and Alyson, are all constantly on the run from th cops, or, in rare situations, old, angry women on the street.
This story takes place in the 1930's.
