My Secret...

"Please, mom and dad are missing"

Love was such a strong word, throughout the rest of the day all I could think about was how she said that word. I took in a deep breath and walked with Bailey.

"You need a ride?" He offered as Kristen caught up to us.

"I'm going with Tab." I denied with a weak smile as Tabanca waited for me.

"You two dating now?" Kristen questioned, her eyes narrowing in the distance.

"I'm not sure." I laughed and patted her head.

"Hey man!" We all heard and turned to see Lenard.

"What up?" I replied, Bailey simply unlocked his car and got inside.

"Is he okay?" Lenard frowned as Bailey sped off after Kristen got inside.

"I think?" I shrugged and walked with Lenard to where Tabanca is.

"I was thinking maybe we could chill outside of school sometime?" He proposed.

"Brah, we've only known each other for a day. Wait a few more weeks, aight?" I laughed and wrapped an arm around Tab.

"Fine." He shrugged and got inside a nice old mustang. Maxine walked by with her phone in hand, a frown on her face.

"You okay?" I asked and she nodded.

"Yeah." She answered, sent Tabanca a look then went on her way. I furrowed my brows then shrugged, enjoying my time with Tab.

"What would you like for dinner?" Tabanca inquired as we walked down the streets.

"What do you feel like making?" I chuckled.

"Noodles?" She smiled when she received a call. "Don't speak okay?"

"Don't speak?" I repeated as she picked the phone up and shushed me. I heard a mumble of a male's voice and waited for her to reply.

"Not sure. I've been trying okay? No, you don't need to check on me... We're not working together anymore, remember? Fuck off." She hung up the phone then turned to me with a weak smile.

"Who was that?" I mused with a big grin on my face.

"An ex client of mine." She stuffed her phone back in her pocket then returned to me.

"So um not to kill things but what does this make us?" I abruptly asked, for some reason I felt completely nervous to know the answer.

"What do you mean?" She furrowed her brows.

"Are we official? Just roomies?" I elaborated and mirrored her look.

"Roomies..." She immediately answered then sent me a weak smile. "For now."

"Okay." I whispered, I thought she wanted to love me? How could she do it that way? I shrugged my thoughts away as we made it in the house and she went to the kitchen.

"Alfredo, Penne noodles?" She proposed while throwing a box of noodles on the counter and grabbed a can of Four Cheese Alfredo sauce.

"Yum." I chuckled when her phone went off again, this time a text.

"Ugh. Business." She frowned then turned to me. "Tomorrow night?"

"Huh?" I chuckled, furrowing my brows slightly.

"I have business to attend too. I have to go, there's plenty of quick fix meals though." She sighed while putting away the noodles and sauce.

"Umm okay?" I looked at the fridge then she quickly disappeared. I stood there confused, how did she leave so fast? The door was locked, only the kitchen light was on and the rest were off.

I spent most of the night looking through everything, checking to see what she has in general. Suddenly there was a knock on the door; I muted the TV not wanting to get up from the couch.

"Yeah?" I called, but no answer. I groaned and stood up, dropping the controller on the couch when the door busted open.

"Laramor?" A familiar voice breathed out, a man with dark hair and glowing green eyes stood in front of me. His features mirrored my own, minus his slightly aged skin. I narrowed my eyes at him, and rose a brow.

"I don't know any Laramor's." I answered, which technically wasn't a lie because my name isn't Laramor it's Lucas.

"Don't get smart with me." He spat, his eyes looking me over. "My son."

"Son?" I repeated, my brows pushing forward.

"Don't you recognize you're own father?" He chuckled and moved forward, I didn't bother to move instead stood my ground.

"I don't know who the hell you are, and frankly I don't care to know. Get the fuck out of my house." I demanded, causing him to howl with laughter.

"You're so much like your mom." He teased with a shake of his head.

"So I've been told." I retorted, that pissed off expression still on my face. "Now what the hell do you want?"

"Is that any way to speak to your father? Haven't you been taught any manners?" He questioned, a pissed off expression on his face that matched my own.

"I'm sorry that I haven't been taught how to say fuck you politely." I mused with a grin. The corner of his lip curled upward and a light chuckle was audible.

"They may say you're more like your mother, but I assure you, you're not as innocent as they assume. Now come along, I've been searching for you for seventeen years since your mother took you away and sent you to those awful people." He ranted with a look of distaste. "But you don't have to worry about those people anymore, I've disposed of them."

"You didn't touch them." I tried to be brave but it was more a question than a statement.

"What's the matter? Not like they were blood anyways." He evilly mused.

"They were my family." I choked out.

"I'm your family now, Laramor." He smiled.

"My name is not Laramor, it's Lucas." I corrected causing him to give a straight expression.

"Is that the name they gave you?" He shook his head with a look of disgust.

"That's the name my mother gave me." I sighed while looking away.

"You don't even know her." He hissed.

"I can say the same about you." I retorted.

"You're a smart ass." He spat.

"Story of my life." I chuckled and leaned against the sofa. "If you don't mind leaving before my girl gets here."

"Your girl?" He laughed.

"Yes, my girl." I repeated with narrowed eyes, suddenly my phone went off and I seen Maxine's picture. "Hello?"

"Lucas! Lucas. Please, mom and dad are missing. There's blood everywhere, I don't understand. I just got home, please help... I seen dad run out with a knife in his hands, he stabbed himself for no reason! Wait...Did you? No, Luke...please tell me you didn't." She freaked out.

"No, I didn't. I didn't, look calm down. I'll be over there right now." I assured forgetting that my "father" was in the same room.

"Please hurry." She hung up the phone and I turned to this man, my brain trying to remember his name.

"Skyler." I hissed under my breath once I remembered.

"Don't call me by my sir name." He scolded.

"I have some where to go." I spat and shoved past him, he grabbed my arm roughly causing a burning sensation down my arm.

"You're not going any where." He snapped...
