Dancer Girl

Boredom

James helped me out of my car when we got home after school. "What d'you wanna do now?"

"Umm, I can't really do anything," I raised my newly casted and completely dry foot. "Remember?"

"Ah, yes. But you can still do stuff." I looked at him skeptically. "Don't look at me like that! I'm not crazy!"

"Only crazy people think they aren't crazy," I pointed out.

He looked away. "Whatever." He bent over to pick up our hidden house key. He unlocked the door and held it open for me.

"Don't whatever me," I joked as I let him lead me to the couch.

"WHATEVER!" He shouted.

"You're very childish," I stated.

"Thank you Catherine Obvious."

"Who the hell is Catherine Obvious?"

"You know. Catherine Obvious. Someone states the obvious and they call them Catherine Obvious."

"You mean Captain Obvious?"

"It's not Catherine?"

I shook my head, disappointed in him. "No, James. It is not Catherine Obvious."

"Really? Are you sure?" He said after a long pause.

I sighed and stood up from the couch.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"I'm going to find something to do before you attempt to melt any more of my brain cells."

He got up and started to follow me. He jerked open the door and we walked to the car. "Where to?"

"Ummmmmmmmmmmm, I don't know."

He laughed. His laugh was gorgeous.
