Returning to You

Jessica’s POV
We arrived at the restaurant and I got out of the car and smoothed the arms of my blazer (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=12653718) it had gotten cold tonight so I had thrown it on and Brian motioned for me to follow them and I smiled at him before following them into Danny’s.
Once in we were seated and Brian said we were expecting others and would wait to order until they got here. Turning to Jimmy I asked
“so who is coming?” he looked at me and said
“well Matt, Zacky and Johnny and well Matt will bring Val and Zacky will bring Gena” I nodded and asked him
“so do you have a better half?” Jimmy chuckled and grinned
“she would love to hear you say that and yeah, her name is Leana and she is great, she can keep up with my craziness but no she’s out of the country visiting family right now” I nodded in understanding . I heard Brian groan beside me and Jimmy and I looked at him immediately and Jimmy asked
“what’s the matter Brian?” Brian nodded towards the front of house and said
“they brought her” I looked at him confused as Jimmy looked up front before he groaned as well
“what? What’s going on?” I asked them and Brian looked at me and answered
“they brought Michelle with them” I raised a brow
“Michelle? As in Val’s sister Michelle” I said with slight contempt in my voice and they both picked up on it though Jimmy was the most curious about it, I could see it in his eyes
“I can’t believe they brought her with them” Brian moaned and I asked
“what’s up with her?” Jimmy answered
“they dated and only recently broke up, it was messy and Brian really doesn’t want to be around her” I nodded and as they walked towards us I got out of my seat as I was on the other side of Jimmy and instead sat next to Brian. They looked at me questioningly and I shrugged
“she can’t sit next to him if there isn’t a space open and it should stop an argument” Jimmy grinned and Brian smiled in thanks and I just smiled back before the others reached the table and sat down. I smiled at them and Johnny, my ever little friend, sat down next to me and smiled back and said
“hey there how are you getting on with the house?” I smiled and replied
“the house is great, the bathrooms just got installed today and Brian helped me pick them yesterday” I heard a snort from across the table and a nasally voice spoke up in a bitchy tone
“moving in with someone already Brian?” I moved my gaze from Johnny and it landed on the person who spoke, Michelle. I raised a brow and answered
“Michelle that would be none of your business and it would be rude to enquire anyway but just to let you know because I’m polite no we have not moved in together” Michelle looked at me in shock and didn’t answer and at that moment the waiter came and smiled at us
“what would you guys like to eat?” everyone ordered and it seemed that Michelle saw this as a chance to show off in front of Brian and make him jealous so she flirted with the waiter and I saw everyone roll their eyes, even Val her twin.
I looked beside me at Brian who was wiping the condensation from the side of his glass and leaning towards him I said in a hushed tone
“are you alright?” he looked up at me and smiled slightly answering in the same tone
“yeah it just annoys me when she does that, I mean I don’t care but it’s still annoying because she thinks that it will make me fall at her feet or something begging her to take me back” I nodded and said
“well I think you’re doing a great job of ignoring her, personally I imagine a walrus when I look at her and everything she does doesn’t matter anymore” Brian chuckled and this seemed to catch Michelle’s attention as she said nastily
“oh getting cosy over there are you? How can you act like that in front of me?!” I rolled my eyes and mouthed walrus to Brian who smiled slightly with a twinkle in his eye as he tried not to laugh and turning to Michelle I asked
“do you like fish?” Brian couldn’t contain it and started laughing and I just put a hand to my mouth and covered a giggle and everyone looked at us in surprise and question while Michelle glared and huffed.
Brian settled down and our food arrived and we all got to talking again about our lives and Val looked at me over the table and smiled before she said
“Matt tells me you went travelling” I nodded and she smiled “I would love to travel, I mean I go when these guys go on tour but it’s not the same you know?” I nodded understandingly and said
“yeah you move too quick to enjoy it” Val nodded with a smile and I knew I had found a friend as we understood each other but Michelle butt in and said stupidly
“why would you need to stay? You only need to be there long enough to shop” everyone looked at her like she was dumb and Val shook her head in disappointment before getting back to her food.
I finished my meal of fries and a chicken burger before we all decided to call it a night and head home. Brian, Jimmy and I piled into Jimmy’s car with him driving and soon we were at my place and I smiled at them both and said
“thanks for the food guys, I was starving and it was fun” Jimmy laughed
“yeah Michelle’s presence is always fun” I grinned
“well it is if you think my way” Brian chuckled remembering and I grinned at him before I said
“good night guys” they said it back and I got out of the car and waved before making my way through the door and then out the back and into my tent thinking of how great tonight was hanging out with them and I had a new friend in Val I’m sure.
