Returning to You

Fifteen Years Later
Jessica’s POV
I smiled as I waved Layla onto the school bus with Brian at my side. She waved back with a big smile and we watched as she got on then made her way to the back where Daniel, Jackie Sullivan, Alex and Lianna waited for her having claimed the last couple of rows of seats.
She turned and waved one more time as the bus took off and I let my arm drop as tears fell from my eyes. Brian looked down at me and chuckled as he pulled me into a hug
“aww honey it’s only high school” he assured me and I sniffled
“I know but it’s a big place there and anything could happen” he smiled
“not with Daniel there, you know he will beat up any kid that thinks of looking at any of them wrong, plus she’s not alone, she has Alex, Lianna and Jackie with her” I pouted
“I know but still” he laughed as he rubbed my arms
“relax, it’s only school” I frowned before I said
“what if I reminded you that there are a lot more boys in high school that will be looking at our daughter” Brian growled
“no they won’t, I have instructed Daniel that should anyone look at her or speak to her he is to throw them in the nearest trash can” I gasped
“Brian you can’t do that!” he chuckled
“like hell I can’t” I rolled my eyes before turning and walking back into the house, the empty house.
I frowned
“it’s so empty, I got used to having her always here this summer” Brian grinned
“empty can be good” I raised a brow
“and how is that?” he grinned and wiggled his brows
“you still have that outfit from our wedding night?” I laughed and dodged him as he lunged for me, racing up the stairs and into our room as he chased me, the door closing after him.
The door closed on our chapter but the door had only just creaked open in our daughters and there were endless possibilities for her.
I giggled as Brian pinned me to the mattress, hovering over me he swooped in for a lust filled kiss before he pulled back and whispered
“love you forever” I smiled and kissed him again before saying
“always” before we got back to kissing and the clothes came off with sounds of breathy excitement coming from us.
