Not an Angel Yet

We sat there and waited.
And waited.
And waited.
Several hours had passed before Edward and Jasper came back.
Edward smiled at me as he came through the door,
and Jasper had a small smile on his face too.

They asked me to stay that night,
They said i could stay in my old room and everything.
I told them i could stay in my car.
Or even get a hotel.

They insisted that i stayed in the house..

As i was getting settled into my bed, there was a light tapping on my door. "Come in." I called softly, and the door opened slowly, revealing the one person i never thought it would be.
Jasper.

He came in and sat on the bed next to me.
"Hey." He said softly and smiled. "Hi." I replied with a small smile. He sighed and scooped me up into his arms, hugging me tightly. "I can't believe you're back." He whispered into my hair. I smiled. "How old are you now?" He asked teasingly. "22." I whispered. "Damn. You're old." He said with a chuckle. "Oh hush." I whispered and hit him lightly and playfully. I looked up at him, and he looked down at me. Our faces seemed to be getting closer and closer to eachother, until i felt his cold lips press lightly against mine.
It was amazing how he could still make my heart race.

He smiled into the kiss and pulled away slowly.
"I've thought alot over the past few years... and i've finallly realized that i really do want to be with you.. forever." He whispered softly and carressed my face. I smiled, and then i remembered Greg.
He'd come here soon.
He'd know i was here.

I sighed and looked into Jasper's waiting eyes.
I felt my heart break as i said the next few words,
"I don't love you anymore.." I whispered brokenly.
His eyes turned sad and a frown appeared on his face.

"You're lying." He whispered.
I shook my head.
"Haydee, what are you hiding? Why wont you tell me the truth?" He asked, concerned.
"Get away from me, Jasper." I hissed,
which broke my heart more.

This was the only way to protect him,
The only way to save him.
