Peter Pan & Wendy Turned Out Fine

I woke up to a hazy world and automatically felt a pain throbbing in my skull. My eyes stung and I waited for them to adjust.

when the fog cleared i looked over at this incessant beeping. i saw that it was a heart monitor

and the first thing i thought was.. well crap Jenna!... i then looked over to the other side of me

and saw Alyson and the orphanage director Mrs. Floyd. Alyson was crying and when she

looked up, her eyes tear filled, and cheeks stained with tears, she freaked out and started

hugging me like crazy and asking me so many questions. The only question i really could

pick up was "Why didn't you tell me that you had diabetes?!".

i slowly put my hand up to say stop and said "Alyson, i have had diabetes since i was about

13, it runs in my family, i have had it under control for a long time, when my mom and i got

into a fight and i ran away, i didn't grab all of my diabetic things just the absolutely necessary

things like some clothes, underwear, glasses, toothbrush and some shoes. i was about to

grab all of it but my mom was coming to my room so i had to get out. Since i have been here,

i have been trying to eat healthy and good so i wouldn't have this happen to me but all the

stress and worry has gotten to me. i am sorry i didn't tell you but just like you told me, i don't

want any pity either."

"Alright i guess you have a good excuse but i want you to tell me these kinds of things. You

are like my family now... i love you girl!!" she said while trying to hold back even more tears.

"I love you, too. And that is the only thing that i have kept back. " i said getting teary eyed at

her confession.

......................... a week later..............

I was jamming out to the radio because my favorite band was on, the Jonas Brothers! Alyson

walked in and just started laughing at me but soon joined in with my fun.

Mrs. Floyd came into our room and started laughing at us and said "Wow good timing!! I just

found out that we are going to be having a special guest come visit our diabetic orphans. You

are just going to love him! See ya later girls!" she said leaving just as fast as she came in

with a HUGE smile on her face.. something was up...
