The Palm Tree

Darla's young life is a tragic event in and of itself, and has left her quite dispassionate, but also living alone on a remote island up north with an old, bitter, introverted guardian. Mr. Orr is a peculiar old man, and the secrets he is hiding only tempt Darla into putting the both of them in mortal danger, and forever alters the course of her young life.
