Don't Jump

Wake Up!

"Wake up!"

"Huh? Who's talking to me?"

Ugh my head hurts...

"Reina wake up!"

"SHUT UP!"

"Oh c'mon..."

"Where am I?"

"You're in the middle of Heaven and Hell."

"WHAT?! You've gotta be kidding me!"

Another voice.

"No."

I looked back seeing that a dark figure stood behind me.

"Who the hell-"

"Don't say that word!"

"What are you guys doing anyway?"

Both figures looked at me.

"They are fighting for your life."

"My life?"

"Yes, and they are trying to drag you back into the world, those white monsters."

"Wait, you mean the doctors and the nurses?"

"Yes...If that's what you call them."

"I DON'T WANNA DIE!"

"We know." the dark figure said.

"Then let them have me, let them get me where I want to!"

"No, we can't do that."

"WHY NOT?!"

"Because you're destined to be dead, Reina."

"AH MY HEAD HURTS!! SOMEONE STOP THE FREAKIN PAIN!"

"Fight to die, Reina, not the other way around, then the pain will-"

"REINA!!!!"

My eyes opened and I saw blood all over the place.

"What? What just...what the hell hapened?!"

"Stay calm Reina, it was just an acci-"

"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?! WHY IS ALICE ON THE FREAKIN FLOOR BLEEDING?!"

"I...I'm sorry...Reina..."

I saw him raise the knife on me.

Fuck. I'm screwed. Wait. What? I'm getting confused...

Was that all a dream? Am I really going to die now?

I suddenly felt a strong grip on my hand. It hurt just a little but it did calm me down.

"WAKE UP!!"

My eyes opened.

I looked around. No sign of weird figures and no sign of blood.

I only saw Alice shake her head at the figure standing next to my bed.

"G..Gabe S..S...Saporta?!"

"Yup, that's me!"

"Huh? Oh no, not another dream."

"Oh no, this isn't a dream. See? I'm real!"

He waved his hand in front of my face and then ruffled my hair a bit.

Not a dream. It wasn't a nasty dream nor a tricky dream.

At least if this were a dream, it was a pleasant one.

"So why are you here? I thought Alice would be all over you..."

"Well let's just say I stumbled in here when Patrick over there by the door pushed me in. That's when I saw this young lady panicking!"

"Panicking?"

"Your heart rate was going unusually fast and you started to say stuff under your breath! Of course I thought something must have been wrong and I started panicking when I felt a hand on my shoulder and saw Gabe Saporta standing. Then I was just sitting in the chair as he gripped your hand. Then you stopped and your heart beat slowed down to a normal pace."

"Oh..."

Wait so all that blood and all those figures was a dream?

"So where is Mr. Stump?"

"Hiding. Hey Patrick! Say hi to my new friends!" Gabe said in his most cheery voice.

I looked at the doorway and saw Patrick Stump come in. He smiled at Alice and then looked at me and his eyes went wide.

"You're that girl from-"

"Yes I am. I'm glad you remembered me Mr. Stump."

"Who?" Gabe asked.

"She's the one that saved me from a gang of gangsters that I got mixed up with because I was at the wrong place at the wrong time."

"Well, I'm here because of that, Patrick."

"What the hell did they do to you?" he asked as he walked over next to my bed.

"A bruise on my stomach, a broken bone in my left arm, and some very insulting words. But I'm okay."

"Meeting you here is some what like a coincidence huh?"

"Nope."

"Huh?" Alice said.

"It's not a coincidence. It was fated."
