Alice Practice.

eleven.

Staring up with the large man, Alaina blinked lifelessly. Their meeting was very dull. She simply waltz up to Matt, looked him in the eye and said, "You know who I am, and you're Matt. Hey."

To which Matt responded, "...Hi?"

"So, why are you randomly standing in my way." Matt crossed his arms over his broad chest. His eyes were not hidden behind any form of glass and Alaina couldn't help but stare at them. They were a strange but intoxicating mixture of gold, green, and brown. This only made Matt raise an eyebrow in complete confusion. He wasn't expecting the new chick to be so odd. The red tint to her eyes, and the rose flush across her cheeks gave it away.

"You're on a blood high, aren't you? How much have you had today?" Matt questioned, pulling her close with one large hand. The other grabbed her face like Zacky had, but instead he tilted her head side to side, inspecting her eyes. "A fucking hell of a lot, apparently." And with that, he released her.

Alaina stumbled clumsily for a second before she composed herself. Her lips turned up into a snarl. Matt rolled his eyes, being nothing close to threatened by this, dare I say it...

Noob.

"You realize that if you have too much blood you will go insane right? Well, not actually insane... but we will have to lock you up like our victims in the basement until you're near death."

"I won't have too much." Alaina finally spoke, calming down. It was only obvious the blood was effecting her behaviour, and she would rather not rot in the basement. With the delicious scent of every victim they held in that room, she would be driven mad.

"But why not have just a little more? I love your new personality." A new voice spoke up. Alaina had failed to notice, but a new body was present beside hers and Matt's. Then again, with the voice so familiar, he could have simply appeared out of no where with all the power he possessed.

"Would you leave me alone?" She spoke, turning to face Johnny. His height seemed to lack the intimidation factor, but yet, once again, his eyes gave away his power. Hell, his entire presence seemed to be illuminated with power. He was like some god damn light bulb in a blackened room. Not a single person, or damned person, could not see what he possessed, and that seemed to be absolutely anything he pleased.

"Why would I do such a thing? I love having you around Alaina." Johnny smirked. A sharp pain shot through Alaina's back, making her eyes close. A loud bang echoed through the halls to either side of trio. It took her a moment to realize that the sharp pain was the brick she had collided with, and the echo was the walls reaction to the abrupt violence.

Her eyes opened, unsure of what she would see. Instead of seeing Johnny, she saw Matt. His hands rested on her shoulders and pulled her forward, out of the wall. Once she had exited safely, she turned to see the damage. There was a lovely hole that was fit perfectly to her body, with a few blood spots placed like some morbid decorations on a demented Christmas tree.

The walls were a weird shade of dark green and grey.

"Huh..." She breathed, shrugging off the situation quickly. The blood coursing through her veins caused her body to heal at a ridiculously fast pace, and she was already as good as new.

"I don't understand why Johnny took such an interest in you." Alaina's head turned to her left, hearing a crack. Her neck instantly felt less strained. "I mean, when Zacky found out you hadn't died, we all just said to kill you. Less suffering on your part, and we wouldn't have to worry about some idiot trying to turn you." Her eyes narrowed. They were just going to kill her like she was some lame animal? Just to put her out her misery? Since when did they care about human suffering?

"But Johnny said no. He said Zacky was to turn you and was to bring you here. It shocked all of us." Before Matt could continue with his story, Alaina butt in.

"Are you sure you're supposed to be telling me this Matthew?" She spoke up, eying her knuckles. The urge to punch, and further damage, the wall ahead of her was tempting. Taking an opportunity within the break of speech, she launched forward. Her arm soon was buried in the decaying brick. Pulling her arm out, she watched as the blood stopped and the wounds healed themselves. A slight cracking could be heard as all her fractured and broken bones snapped back into place.

Alaina felt nothing. She smiled and turned back to Matt.

"I don't care if I'm not supposed to. I don't believe it would matter if I told you anyways. It's not like I know why Johnny wanted you to live. God knows, maybe he wants to experiment on you. It looks like that as well."

"What do you mean he's experimenting on me? I'm not some filthy laboratory rat. What would he need to experiment? How a demon lobotomy works?" Alaina spoke sarcastically, looking past Matt into the dark and long hall way. The huge house the lived in was much to large for them. It was all too extravagant.

Matt chuckled.

"No. He knows how that works." He answered one of her questions.

"Then what the hell would he want to know?" She questioned again, eyeing him. Matt's eyes gave nothing away. He glared back at her with as much tension as she was to him. They both felt as if the other knew something they did not, but it was clear in both cases, they had nothing to hide.

"How the hell would I know?" Alaina's eyes darted towards Matt's flexing hands and along the tendons in his arms that popped up above his skin with each grasp. Moving further north, she watched as his muscles twitched under his skin.

It surprised her that he was not the oldest, nor the most powerful.

What also surprised her, was the hand that outstretched in front of her.

Her mouth opened slightly, unsure of what to do.

"How about we make a deal? That we work together to see what Johnny's thinking." Matt smiled like a child plotting their "greatest prank". She couldn't help but giggle at his ridiculous facial expression. His dimples did not help his childish look at all. In fact, all feeling of intimidation vanished immediately.

"Alright." Alaina nodded once and grabbed Matt's outstretched hand. They shook firmly before pulling away and walking down the hall together. Alaina felt a huge arm wrap around her shoulders. She looked up at the friendly beast with a cheesy smile.

"You, mister tank, are going to be my best friend."

Matt laughed and smiled, nodding in acceptance.

I thought this story deserved some slight humour.

The comment rate is going up slightly, if I remember correctly. Then again, I have no memory, so I actually don't know for sure. But still, commentcommentcomment. It only takes a few seconds, and it'll definitely give me encouragement.
I would love to update more, but I'm rather busy now-a-days, and I think my mind is going to implode from all the bloody stress. D:

If you are someone who also reads my new story, About A Girl, I'll try to get an update out this weekend. If not, then either disregard this memo, OR, you can go check it out. ^-^
It's a grand story for Brian Haner Jr fans. xD
