Annabeth Denton has ignored the past for fifteen years. When her grandparents die in a tragic car crash and leave her their three-hundred-year-old house, Annabeth realizes that the past can no longer be ignored. Soon, she finds out that every Denton has been murdered- brutally and mercilessly. Is it simply bad luck, or are there darker forces at work? Annabeth must race against time to save her parents, and herself. Things don't help when she unearths several dark family secrets that the public should never know about, and there's also the little fact that Annabeth sees- and hears- the ghosts of long dead ancestors. The clock is ticking. The sand is running out.
