Silent Screams

If Only This Would Last Forever

I walked into my house in silence.
Trying to not make a sound, so my dad wouldn't hear me.
I shut the door behind me, and tip-toed up the stairs
as fast as I could; hoping to see Justin leaving.

I ran into my room, shut the door, and dropped all my
stuff to the floor. I ran full speed to my window.
I looked out at my drive-way and saw Justin pulling
out of the long drive-way.

I sighed, catching my breath and walked over to my bed.
Falling with a hmmph; thinking back to that kiss.
A smiled slowly appeared on my face.

I closed my eyes and dreamt..

The dreams that will haunt my forever.

----------

It was bright.
I was sitting in a meadow.
The wind softly hitting my cheeks.
The breeze flowing through my hair.

It was peaceful.
The distant sound of birds chripping. The smell of fresh
air all around me. The warmth of the sun on my skin.

I was in my own little heaven.
I felt a hand touch my shoulder.
I looked up; it was Justin.

He looked down at me and smiled. I smiled back.
Justin sat down next to me, then pulled me close.
I rested my head on his shoulder.
He kissed lightly on my forehead.

This was perfect. This is where I wanted to be forever.
I wanted to be in his arms forever.

I woke up to my cell phone going off.
I rubbed my eyes and looked at my phone.

Lake was calling.

"OH MY GOD! WHAT HAPPENED? TELL ME!" She screamed.
Which I would have to say woke me up totally.

"Ohkay calm down please." I cleared my throat and peered out
the window, seeing the light of the moon shining through them.

"Ohkay! Well hurry up! I want to KNOW!"

"Chill. Ohkay. Well we went to the local ice cream shop." I slowly
began telling her everything that happened.

-------------

"Oh. My. God." She finally said after a moment of silence when the
story was finished. Then out of nowhere she screamed.

I moved the phone away from my ears, so I wouldn't become deaf
by her normal high-pitched screaming.

"LYRIC! IT'S YOUR DREAM COME TRUE!" She repeated in a scream.

"Calm down Lake! I know I know!" I couldn't help but smile.
I wanted to be screaming just like her. Cheering that I finally had the
guy I was inlove with; but I had to be quiet. Or else my dad wouldn't
be too happy about it.

"How can I calm down?! This is the best! How come you're not screaming?"
She asked calming down just a tad.

"My dad's home." I bluntly said.

The excitement in her voice became dull, "Oh.." She said nothing for a
moment then spoke up, "Ugh why is home? I thought he way 'away'?"

I looked at my clock then down at my sock, "I thought he was too. But
apparently mom let him back in." I said in a whisper.

"Oh well.. Hopefully your mom will stop doing that. She really needs to.
Quick." She said in a sort of distant voice.

I said nothing, then laid back down; my head hitting the pillow.
She turned down her techno then sighed.
"I wish for the best with you and Justin. If he hurts you, I'm hurting him.
But hopefully he'll treat you right." She paused, "You deserve the best
Lyric. Don't let him push you around. If he does."

I thought about what she said for a moment, it felt like she was hiding
something, that I should've been totally aware of.
"Thanks Lake. I'll remember that." I said after a minute.

"Good. I mean that Lake. If he does anything, tell me. Right away."
There was a message hiding in her voice. I couldn't tell what it
was, or what it meant. I began to worry.

"Ohkay, don't worry Lake. I will." I sighed.

"Well, good. I'm going to bed! I'll see you after school. I love you!"
She yawned.

"Alright, night. Love you too." I clicked my phone and got up.

Why didn't she fucking tell me the truth.
That's what I want to know.
