"Alice... Alice Midorikawa, was it?"
"Yes..."
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have..."
"No, it's fine, Seth. She's really like that."
"I see..."

I stand there absentmindedly, staring at her bedroom door.

"So that's why you wanted me to disguise as someone else."
"That's right."
"I can't believe it. She's the only girl I know who hates me."
"Exactly."
"That's so... weird."
"Mmm."

I look at her door for the last time, and start roaming around the house.

"Nice home you got here, Mrs. Midorikawa."
"Thank you."

Alice's mom trails behind me.

"Are you really letting me stay in your house?"
"Sure, if you really need to."

Kinda awkward, don't you think?

"Um... then may I see the room where I'm staying?"
"Alright. Come with me, please. You're lucky we have an extra room for a guest."

We head to the room just beside Alice's and she opens the door.
The room was painted striking orange and the ceiling neon blue.
There was a window by the bed and the space was really wide.
The bed was perfectly made for the next visitor.

And that person was I, Seth Paver.

"Beautiful."

I enter the room and marvel at its design.

"My husband thought of the color combination... pretty, isn't it?"

I nod in agreement.

"Of course."

I face Alice's mom and ask for her name.

"Mrs. Midorikawa, if I may, what is your first name?"
"Michelle Anne Midorikawa. But I'd most appreciate it if you would just call me Aunt Michelle."
"Alright. Aunt Michelle, then. Thank you so much for your help."
"Oh, it's nothing. I'm just helping you out."

She suddenly clasps my hands and smiles.

"I will always be here if you need me."

I smile back.

"I like it here."
