When I Turned The Television On.

| Nathaniel Sebastian Van Allen |

I arrive at Alice's house on time when Seth comes out to greet me.

He was wearing a dark gray polo and red necktie.
Jeans and his weird shoes.
And of course, he'll never forget his sunglasses today.

He elegantly enters the car and brushes up his hair smoothly between his fingers.

Damn.
I'm grateful I'm his bodyguard.

"You look wonderful today, Seth."
"Just today?"
"No, I mean you look much better today than the past few days."
"Oh. Thanks."

I drive to West Salmon University.
I look at the rear view mirror and glance at Seth.
I admire his physical features and stare longingly at his face.

Okay.
I feel so gay.
Never mind.

But then Seth catches my stare and asks me a question with a touch of creepiness in his tone.

Well shit.

"Yes, Nathan?"
"E-Eh? Uh... I just wanted to ask you something."
"What is it?"
"Are you close to Alice now?"
"Still not talking to me."
"That's... sad."
"..."

Thank God.
She's not yet close to Seth!
She mustn't get close to him at all.
I'm the only one who can protect him.
No one else.

I drive faster when we reach the school.
Once again, Seth's fans come to crowd around the car.
Seth pries the car door open and runs quickly to the school doors.
I squint my eyes to see him go safely inside when I see Alice with a guy.

Wha?
Am I imagining things?

Does she have a boyfriend already?

...how odd.

I leave West Salmon University and drive back to my office in deep thought.
