When I Turned the Television On

Wretched One

When I Turned The Television On.

| Seth Paver |

I close the door behind me and head to my desk.
I grab a pen and start scribbling down Alice's information when my door slams open.

"Stop right there!!!"

I turn around to see Alice, her face all red in fury.

"What?"
"What? WHAT?! WHAT MY ASS!! HOW THE HELL DID YOU KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT ME?!!"

I curve my mouth into a small smile and reply.

"That would be my little secret."

Her face turns even redder as she barges into my room without hesitation.
She lets out all her anger at me and jabs my chest with her own finger.

"You! You--"

She jabs her finger deeper into my shirt but I don't budge.

"You! You... you filthy bastard! You stupid moron!! You disgusting freak!! I knew it! You're a stalker! YOU'RE A GODDAMN STALKER, YOU!! I HOPE YOU DIE! JUST YOU WAIT AND SEE!!"
"What's going on in here??"

Saved by the bell, also known as Michelle Anne Midorikawa.

"Alice, why are you screaming like that? Why are you arguing with Seth again?"
"MOM! HE KNOWS EVERY LITTLE THING ABOUT ME! EVERY LITTLE GODDAMN THING!!"
"Alice, don't you ever curse again. Shut up and keep your voice down, young lady."

Alice's arms droop to her sides.

"Very well. And why are you both fighting again?"
"Mom, I... Seth knows everything about me. As in everything, mom."
"Is that true?"

Aunt Michelle looks at me with a frown on her face.

"Seth, be honest with me."
"Yes, Mrs. Midorikawa..."
"Where did you get all those information about my daughter then?"
"Uh, Nathaniel, Mrs. Midorikawa."

I catch a glimpse of Alice who flinch in disbelief.

"Nathaniel? Who, your bodyguard?"
"Yes, ma'am."

Aunt Michelle faces Alice with a disapproving scowl.

"You, young lady, should better go to your room now. And as for you, young man, stop it.
Stop stalking my daughter or you'll get it from me. I know you wouldn't want that."
"Yes, Aunt Michelle."

She trots out of my room, heading back to her own room in dismay.
Alice spins around to face me angrily.

"Now look what you've done. You just made my mom get mad at me again. Haven't you realized how miserable my life is already, Seth?"

I cringe at the thought of Alice calling me Seth so openly.

Lol, random.

"What did you say, Alice?"
"Are you deaf, dumbass?"

I said no more.

"About my info..."

I glance at Alice who reddens all of a sudden.

"How did you... know I was an A cup...?"

She blushes even more just talking about this with me.
I smirk at her feeling of embarrassment and laugh.

"You're so cute, Alice. You're so adorable I just want to hold you in my arms."

She snaps out of her trance and wrinkles her eyebrows in digust.

"Why the hell would I even let myself be held in your perverted arms? Jesus, you're a freak. You're really, really creepy."

She walks to the door and halts for a moment.

"Wait a minute."

She turns around to face me.

"Don't write down my grandma's death, don't write down I'm flat-chested and most especially," she points at me, her finger quivering, "don't write down that I'm an A cup!!"

She turns red again and heads back to her room quickly.
I chuckle to myself and go back to writing.

What a gullible girl.
