Things just got weirder and weirder.

"Good morning, class!"
We all stand up from our chairs, replying to our literature teacher, Ms. Mary Rosenhall with respect.
"Good morning, Ms. Mary."
"Please sit down."
We quietly sit back down, shifting comfortably in our seats.
"Okay class, we're going to have a project."
Groans emerge from the students.
"SHUT UP!"
Silence fills the air once again.
"This project will not be a very big one, not like those other teachers who give stressful assignments. Those teachers have to get a life. You students must take it easy and slowly. They have to seriously understand you all, my God! They're such stubborn, hopeless bastards who aren't suppose to teach here in this school at all. Right?"
Soft laughter arises inside the room while heads nod in agreement.
"Alright! Let's get this show on the road, people. First, this project has to be done by partners-- WAIT! Let me finish first, you idiots! Pick your partners later, goddammit. Anyways... as I was saying, this project has to be done by partners and what you have to do is..."
I quiver at the word 'partners' and start praying silently to the Gods up there watching my difficult situations.
Dear God dear God I swear, help me in this project! I want to be partners with Renn, please! Please grant my prayer for once, PLEASEEE! I beg for your help with all my heart! I don't want to get Aiden or Seth--
"Okay, okay!"
Ms. Mary claps her hands loudly, bringing me back to reality.
"Pick your partners now, students! BEGIN!!"
No no no.
"Alice?"
Aiden.
"Hey, Alice."
Seth.
Not them, please!
"Alice, can you be my partner this time? Please?"
"No, Alice. Let's be partners again."
I glance at my left and see Aiden's face looking at me with his puppy dog eyes.
I glance at my right and see Seth's face looking at me like a cat who seriously needs food.
As in seriously.
I look down and close my eyes shut.
Seth is so damn good at acting!
Even Aiden, even him, my God!
"Alice is mine."
"No. She's my partner."
"Shut up, Aiden. She wants to be with me."
"I doubt that."
"Tch, think you're wise, eh?"
"...uh, yes."
"Why you--"
"SETH PAVER, AIDEN EVANS! GODDAMMIT!!"
Seth curses quietly while Aiden shakes his head in apology.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Mary."
"Forgive me, Ms. Mary."
"Well, you two should be, you childish fools!"
I pass a hand over my face disapprovingly.
"Alice? What do you say?"
I turn to face Aiden looking at me with pleading eyes.
"I-I don't know--"
"Alice, my love!"
Renn hugs me from the back, making me gasp.
"Renn!"
Has God listened to my prayer?
"Mind if I take you from your Romeos?"
She winks at me.
"Let's do it!"
I smile in relief.
"Sure!"
Renn finally saved me!
And God had answered my prayer.
I turn around to see Aiden and Seth glowering at each other.
They turn to my direction and sigh at the same time as if saying, 'aww-damn-I-wanted-her'.
