"Renn!"
I catch my own breath.
She faces me, her expression that of a confused one.
"What's up with you?"
I put on a determined face and drag her in an isolated corner.
"Renn, please please please, don't tell this to anyone."
"Sure, promise."
She raises her arm for effect.
I sigh and conjure up all the courage to explain.
"I'm sorry, Renn. I kept this from you for a very long time already. And I think it's time I told you this."
She gently squeezes my hand.
"Go on."
"Seth... is living with me."
Instead of hugging me tight or dancing for joy, she raises her eyebrow.
"Seriously. You're kidding, right?"
I bite my lips until it bled.
"I'm saying the truth, Renn. Have I ever lied to you? And besides, why the hell would I make this up?"
She glances up and rubs her chin in thought.
"You gotta point there."
Out of the blue, she immediately hugs me, making me suffocate.
"Oh - my - God--"
"Don't worry, Alice. Your secret is totally safe with me."
She lets go of me and wears a mischievous smile.
"So... what things have you been doing lately, hm? You ever tried sleeping with him? I--"
"NO REN NO DON'T EVEN START!"
She laughs and slaps my back.
"Dumbass, that was a joke! You freaking take things seriously! Loosen a little, dear."
I draw in a deep breath.
"I hate you, Renn."
"Aww, I hate you too!"
I face her then start laughing.
