I stand stiff in the doorway, staring at Aiden with narrowed eyes.

"...why did you invite him here?"
"Seth, he's our friend."
"Oh, really? I never knew that. Maybe your friend. Not mine."

Alice glares at me.

"Don't be mean. He's actually happy that we're together, you know."

I raise my eyebrow.

"Really? Since when did you approve of our relationship?"
"Well, Alice is really happy now that she's your girlfriend..."

I catch a glimpse of Alice who blushed.

"And that's what she wants, as long as she is happy with her decision. But..."

Aiden folds his arms across his chest.

"If you make Alice cry or hurt her in any way... I'll chase you to the ends of the earth. And murder you to death."

I smile and start to chuckle.

"Hah, haha! Try me. I've got Nathan, remember?"

Aiden gulps and looks down.

"...right. Forgot about him."

We all laugh while I playfully punch his arm.

"So are you guys okay now?"

Aiden faces Alice.

"That's right."

He turns to me.

"So... are we good?"

I grin.

"Absolutely."

We shake our hands in agreement.

"Okay, so can we go inside now, Ali--"
"Renn, Aiden! It's so nice to see you here! Why have you all gathered in front of the house?"

Michelle walks towards us, grocery bags in her arms.

"Mrs. Midorikawa! Ah, still beautiful as ever!"

Renn hugs Michelle sincerely.

"Aw, how sweet of you, Renn! Oh, just call me Michelle."
"Ah, let me help you, Mrs. Midorikawa."

Aiden gets the bags from Michelle and enters the house.

"That's very nice of you, Aiden!"

Aiden replies back, his voice echoing in the house.

"Not to mention it, Mrs. Midorikawa!"
"Michelle's fine with me!"

I smile and hug her.

"How are you, Michelle? You're always out, and I never get to talk to you that much."

She returns the hug.

"I'm looking for a grand piano, a white one for that matter. I'm continuing my piano again."
"Seriously, mom?"

She nods her head.

"Yes."
"Oh yeah, Michelle. Your daughter has something to tell you. And don't forget Seth too!"

Renn winks at me and looks at Michelle with a smirk on her face.
I roll my eyes, sort of nervous.

Renn, Renn, Renn.

"They're together, Michelle! They're both in love with each other!"

Renn gazes at me and Alice with admiration.
I pass a hand over my face.

You can never shut her up.

"Really?"

Michelle glances at me, then to Alice, then back at me.

"Are you telling the truth, Renn?"
"It's true, mom. Yes, Seth and I are together."

Aiden comes out and stops to look at us.
Michelle gapes at Alice, dumbfounded.

"But... but I thought you hated him, dear."

Alice shrugs.

"Well, my hate just turned into love all of a sudden, I guess."

Michelle nods her head and looks at Alice.

"I am very proud of you!"

She hugs Alice and strokes her hair gently.

"My girl just got a famous and handsome actor for her boyfriend! How lovely is that!"

Alice blushes and pulls away.

"Thanks, mom."
"That's great! Why don't we have a little celebration?"
"Definitely! Good thing I went grocery shopping today."

I smile.

"Let the party begin!"
