As Seth, Alice and I enter the school building, Alice glances at me.
I look at her blankly, uninterested.

"Hey Nathaniel, can I talk to you later?"

She smiles awkwardly and goes to Seth.
I raise my eyebrow.

What does she want to talk about?

"History is finally over!"
"Why don't we eat outside?"
"Sure, why not? Nathan, come with us!"

I catch a glimpse of Alice who was staring at me.

How creepy.
Is she stalking me now or something?

I turn to Seth.

"Uh, may I just have a minute with Alice? We'll meet you outside."

Renn looks at me and Alice suspiciously.

"If you say so... Alice?"

She waves her hand dismissively.

"Go ahead."
"Oh. Okay, let's go guys."

They all walk out of the classroom while Alice continues to stare at me weirdly.

"So what was it that you wanted to talk about?"

She brings her head down, hiding her face.

"I'm sorry for being mean to you, Nathaniel. I know that you're really close to Seth ever since you were little--"
"Woah, waitwaitwait. How did you know...?"

I narrow my eyes at her.

"Seth, of course. Who else? You don't think that I'm stalking you, right? In fact, Seth talks about you a lot."

I flinch and feel my face slightly heat up.
Suddenly, Seth enters my mind.

Crap.
He actually talks about me?
And of all people, with her?

Oh my God.

I'm so touched~

"Hey, Nathaniel. Earth to Nathaniel...?"

I break away from my trance and return to reality.

"Huh? What?"

Alice smirks and folds her arms across her chest.

"You like Seth, don't you?"

I blush and clasp my hand over her mouth.

"Shhh! Keep your voice down, you idiot!"

She pushes my hand away.

"Dumbass, no one can hear us. It's okay, I won't tell Seth. I'm not mad either. Just. Amused."

I put on a surprised face.

"How did you know?"

She shrugs nonchalantly.

"Well, it's pretty obvious with the look on your face when you see Seth."

I look down, feeling guilty.

"Well, I used to like Renn, so I guess it's normal, isn't it? Don't we fall for our close friends sometimes?"

I smile and start to laugh.

"Now that is interesting."
"But don't get too close to him, alright?"

I pout in disbelief.

"But I'm his bodyguard. I have to stay close and keep watch of him, you know."

She chuckles.

"Silly, you don't get me. Never mind."

She looks at me in the eye.

"Are we in good terms now?"

I smile in agreement.

"Yeah, I guess we are."

She grins and faces the door.

"Come on, let's join them!"

I slide the door open for her.

"Ladies first."
