ONE WEEK LATER
My name is Alice Midorikawa.
I study at West Salmon University and am currently 17 years old.
My life sucked for 16 years until the most famous actor known as Seth Paver entered my life.
I want to spend more of my time with him.
I want to stay by his side forever.
But everything changed when this Daniel Fartworth took over and destroyed Seth's career.
He needed to go back to get his popularity rising again, but I didn't want him to leave me.
But now he's gone.

I inhale a deep breath as I walk to my school.
The coldness is unbearable.
I rub my hands together to warm myself a bit.
As I finally reach the school, I instantly catch a glimpse of Renn waving at me wildly.
I raise my eyebrow and run over to her.
"What's up? Why do you seem so giddy today?"
She laughs at me and playfully punches my arm.
"You idiot!! Don't you know?"
"No, I don't know."
"Seth and Daniel's going to be in the same show! They'll be competing against each other while they're acting their roles out! Isn't it exciting?"
I freeze in place.
"Seriously...?"
"Yes, I'm serious! The show will start later at around 5:00, I think. I can't wait to watch! Everyone in school's going crazy about it."
"How do you know all this?"
Renn folds her arms across her chest.
"You're not watching, aren't you?"
I look down and kick the ground in guilt.
"Um..."
She rolls her eyes and grabs my arm.
"Whatever, let's talk about it later. I'll tell you what the show's all about."

I take down what Sir Harvey is writing on the board when Renn taps my back.
"Alice, take this!"
"What?"
"Here!"
She impatiently taps my back again, making me wrinkle my eyebrows.
I reach out my hand to get the paper from Renn's hand.
She winks at me while I roll my eyes.
I unfold it in my hands and read what was written on it.
The name of the show is Love Match. It's all about this girl named Elaine who has two childhood guy friends named Eric and David. Seth's starring as David while that Fartworth guy is Eric. And guess who's Elaine? Leanne. UGH. Annoying, I know. But anyway, yeah, Elaine can't decide who she'll love and stuff, like a love triangle thing. I don't know. Something like that. Seth and Daniel have to act out their best performance shitty thing. Blah, I hope Seth'll win. (;
I smile at Renn's last sentence when someone snatches the paper from me.
I gulp and look up to see Sir Harvey's face in a disappointed frown.
"Alice Midorikawa. Why aren't you taking down notes?"
"Sir, I am--"
"And why are you not paying attention to my lectures?"
"I'm so sorry--"
"Apology not accepted. Yet. Passing notes in class?"
I pout and lean my head on the desk.
"The name of the show is Love Match. It's all about this girl named Elaine who has two childhood guy friends named Eric and David. Seth's starring as David while that Fartworth guy is Eric blah blah blah what is this nonsense?"
The class suddenly gets all excited when Sir Harvey read half of what Renn wrote on the paper.
"What's with the hullabaloo, students?"
They continue to talk to each other in excitement.
"Students! Calm down!"
Their voices get even louder, making me grin.
I turn around and arch my eyebrows at Renn.
She grins and does a high five with me.
Aiden just stared at us weirdly.
"What is happening to the world?"
I face Aiden with a big smile on my face.
"Have you been watching?"
