I'm Giving up Everything for You.

My name is Callysta Katalina Ridgewell. My friends call me Kat. Callysta means pretty, which is ironc because It's such and ugly name. I attend Dulaney High School, well, when I can be bothered. Now my best friends are on tour, I don’t see much reason to be there…

I live in the Suburbs of Maryland, Baltimore which is just above New York, if you don’t already know. Its fairly cold here. It’s not a very posh part of town, we are mostly working class, but it is pretty. Having said that; I’m not working class. Although we are not as rich as my mom likes to think, we are ‘well off’. For this area anyway. She always goes on about ‘moving somewhere nicer’ but I know she’s as attached to this town as I am.

My mom and Dad divorced three years ago. I miss dad but I hated the fighting so I’m not too sad its over.
I have a brother called Andy who‘s two years older than me. I get along well with him.
I also have a ‘step-dad’ (him and mom aren’t married). He’s one of those guys that tries way too hard. As a person, he’s dull and I don’t like him overly, but at least he keeps mom off my back. A bit.

I guess the only other relevant thing about me is my friends. When we moved here three years ago (after the divorce) I immediately made friends with my neighbor, Alex Gaskarth. Through him I made other friends (Rian Dawson, Zack Merrick) and my very best friend (Jack Barakat).
We liked to hang out, mostly at the cinema or skate park and when I wasn’t’ at either of those places, I was probably at home playing guitar. My dad got it for me (I believe one of the many reasons my parents broke up…) That guitar is going to be my ticket out of here.

Over the last year, me and Jack’s relationship had become more and more confusing. We had always been friends, but that couldn’t explain the feelings we had towards each other.
This summer, I thought we’d found a solution. We discussed dating. We discussed just telling everyone. Then he went on tour. Now I have no idea where I stand.
