The Natives

My name is Kara Erlichman, and I have a brother. His name is Aron, but most people call him Deuce. Deuce has a band, and most people call it Hollywood Undead. I used to get a lot of shit from people about how his band would never make it, but I just kept telling them to watch it explode one day. And it did.

My best friend is Meredith McDonald. She's been dating Dillon Alvarez for awhile now, probably close to a year. A lot of people call him Funny Man. I've know Mer for almost ten years, when she moved to LA from a suburb in Missouri. She needed to fit in, and I needed someone to talk to.

I recently caught my boyfriend of two years cheating on me. I don't know how long it had been going on, but I didn't particularly care. I just needed out of his apartment. Luckily, Aron still had room at the house. Dillon and Meredith had moved out and into the house next door, and they no longer lived with Aron. The house had little company. Just my brother.

And Matt. Matt had always been one of my favorites of Aron's friends. He's so quick-witted, and he's always nice. I've known him since I was in grade school- all of them, actually. I practically grew up with them. They were always at our home.

And now I was heading back home. Who knows what I would find there? I just hoped to get as far away from my ex as possible.
