Mystic Falls

MF10

Vada and Bonnie took Vada's car back to Bonnie's place and Stefan assured her that no charges would be pressed. They were both driving fairly expensive and well made cars so neither one was really harmed.

“So, how are you liking Mystic Falls?” Bonnie asked, sitting in the passengers seat. Bonnie had offered to drive, but Vada refused, she had been embarrassed enough today.

“It sucks.” She said, pouting.

“I guess that seems fair.” Bonnie laughed.

“I thought so.” Vada said, leaning back into her seat, trying to relax her tense muscles.

“Turn left.” Bonnie instructed, “It's the second house on the right.”

“You live there?” Asked Vada, trying not to sound rude. It was a small blue house, it was cute however, if you looked closer at it, you could see charms, weird drawings of pentagrams, what looked like a vile of blood hanging from the tree and weird dolls wedged in windows and eves troughs around the property.

“It was my Grams house, actually.” She said, getting out of the car and walking up to the house, she opened the door and walked right in.

As soon as Vada entered she felt a strange presence, like someone was in the house with them.

“Do you feel that?” Vada asked, not caring if she sounded like a freak. She looked around, trying to find the source of the feeling.

She touched an old chair and suddenly she was filled with images.

She was filled with light, with laughter and giggling, three women. One who looked like her but very different, one who she noticed was similar to Bonnie and the last woman, shockingly identical to Elena.

She was pulled out of her stupor as Bonnie shook her.

“You okay?”

“Yeah, just uh, a headache.” She lied. “Bonnie?”

“Yeah?”

“Was your Grandmother, into the supernatural at all?” Vada asked, feeling slightly odd.

“Yeah, she was really into it. You can tell by the decor of the house, right?” She laughed, it was laced with something Vada recognized as nervousness.

“She was just crazy, you know.” Bonnie laughed uneasily again. Perhaps because she knew it was a lie. Perhaps because Bonnie probably knew just as much as her Grams about the situation so that would make Bonnie crazy, too. “So, uh, homework.”

“No offence, but I don't really do that.” Vada started, twirling her hair, a habit she was accustomed to.

“Do what?” Asked Bonnie.

“Homework.” Vada clarified.

“Ah.” Bonnie nodded, she had noticed Vada's lack of motivation when it came to academic's. “So.”

“So.” Vada mimicked, scrounging for something to say.

Bonnie wanted to tell Vada everything, she wanted to get to the bottom of it. Mystic Falls seemed to always be filled with drama and just for once she wanted it to be over so that she could enjoy her teenage years, at this rate she would be as wrinkly as her Grams was in the next year.

Bonnie knew that Stefan had appointed Damon to ease Vada into her new abilities, but she was miffed that it wasn't her. She was after all, the friendly neighbourhood witch.

Never the less, it was not Bonnie's place to uncover the secrets meant for others. So she changed the subject.

“Do you think you might take Caroline up on her offer to join the squad?”

“Well, I though I might just to avoid the boredom of this town, but it turns out this town isn't so lacklustre after all.” Vada attempted a laugh.

“This town does have a lot to offer.” Bonnie agreed.

“But, now I'm thinking I might join just to get her off my back,” Vada continued the conversation, “You know, she's left notes on my locker and flowers at the office for me.”

“When Caroline wants something she goes for it.” Bonnie said, laughing. “She says you have the body of a Cheerleader.”

“Body of a Cheerleader?” Vada snorted, amused that the stupidity one girl seemed to posses.

“I know, right?” Bonnie laughed loudly.

They continued to talk until Vada's father called her, asking where she was and she left to go home.

Even as she hugged her father and fell asleep listening to the sound of her dad watching Two and a Half Men down stairs, she couldn't shake the feeling she had earlier.

Maybe weird things just happen in Mystic Falls, maybe it had nothing to do with her.

Maybe . . .
