Chapter 2

“Are you okay?” David asked
“I think so. I don’t feel that much pain at this point.” I answered
“Okay good. You don’t anything right?”
“No, I think I’m good. Thanks though, David”
“No problem, Bro.”

David got up and for the last time asked if I was okay. I told that I was fine and that he could keep skateboarding if he wanted.
“Fine, I will go. If you need anything, tell me!” He said
“Alright, thanks” I said

David left and I decided to get up and sit on a near by bench. Then my phone started to ring.
“Hello?” I said
“Hi, Zach.” The voiced answer back.
I paused for a minute. I had heard that voice before. That soothing voice. It was….
“Cindy?”
“Yes, It is be, Cindy” She said
I was filled with Joy. Why was she calling me? Was this a good thing or a bad thing?
“Oh hey. Is there anything you needed to ask me?”
“Not exactly… I’m calling to talk to you about what happened today. At school when you told me that you liked me.”
“Oh, I’m sorry. I just wanted to….”
“No, it’s fine. Here is the thing. When I heard you said that, I paused because ever since we were little, I had a huge crush on you.”
“Really? I had no Idea.’
“Yes, It’s true. I really like you too.”
“Well then. Maybe you would like to go out sometime..”
“I would love that, Zach.”
“Okay. How is Saturday at 5?”
“Perfect! See you then”
“Okay, I’ll pick you up at around 4:50”
“Bye.” Cindy hung up.
“Bye, Baby” I said to the empty phone.

For the first time this year, something had occurred that I wanted to actually occur. Wow, Cindy was great. She was.. Perfect.

“Zach, is that you?”
I turned around. It was my ex-girlfriend Julie
