Living in the shadows

"I love you." I said, wrapping my around Alex's neck.
"I love you too." he said back, putting his arms around my waist.
"Alex let's do something together."
"Like what?"
"Watch a movie."
"What kind of movie?"
"A scary movie." I said excited.
He got up and put in a movie then sat back down on the bed. We both sat against his head board and Alex put his arm around me and then pushed play. The moviebreally wasn't that scary.
"Josie are you not afraid?" he asked.
"No." I replied "Why?"
"I was hoping you would get scared then we would make out." he replied.
I laughed then pretended to act afraid. Alex laughed softly then we started to kiss.
"You know your the only person I know that can watch scary movies and not get scared," he said "well besides my brother."
"You have a brother?" I asked.
"Had," his smile faded "He died a few years ago."
"How?" I asked.
"Someone shot him."
"Alex take me to where he was shot." I said.
"Why?"
"I can help ghosts that is something else I forgot to tell you." I replied.
"I don't know if he is a ghost."
"Alex I want to help." I said.
Before he could respond something pulled me by my arms and threw me to the floor.
"Josie!" yelled Alex.
It grabbed my neck and started to choke me.
"You are dead." something wispered in my ear.
