Tree Top Children

When Amelia was back from visiting her new school it was 7 pm. Amelia went to her room and started getting ready for the night. She put a jack-knife , a rope, her phone and a flashlight into her rucksack. Then she opened her closet and pulled out her skinny jeans, a t-shirt and a black sweatshirt. She got dressed in a minute. She couldnt wait for the night, nervously. When it was finally 9 o'clock , Amelia grabbed her rucksack and hurried down-stairs. " Mom, im leaving! I'll be at ROsalie's in half an hour so.. See you! And say hi to dad when he comes home!" she yelled . Before Miss. Laura could answer Amelia was out the door with her converse shoes on. Then she started to the wall where everything had started that morning. When she reached the wall it was almost 9 : 30pm. Two kids with black clothes on were standing beside the wall. One of them stepped forward. Amelia recognized her black hair and sparkling green eyes immediently , It was Maria Veronica Estelle. " Hey , remember me? Veronica.." she said. Amelia nodded and smiled , the other one stepped forward too. It was David. He also smiled and said; " And im here to assist you two!" . Amelia smiled at him too. Veronica talked, " I see you brought a rucksack, can i see ?" . Amelia handed out the rucksack. Veronica looked inside it and talked, " Thats nice.. Now, we cant be late !". David nodded. Veronica handed the rucksack back. All three of them jumped over the wall. Veronica climbed a tree like a spider, Amelia and David hurried behind her. It was much harder in the dark. BUt Amelia didnt fall. Three of them were flunging between the trees , in the air. When Veronica landed , they both did too. They were standing on a small hill. DOwnwards there was a road where horse cars moving. Veronica whispered;
- You see those cars? THey are the guests. As usual, from the back of this line will come Miss Liselotte Dimms' car. We are gonna jump on the back of it .
Amelia stared at her with shock. BUt Veronica seemed calm. " This is gonna be an adventure.." murmured Amelia. David grinned with excitement. In a minute the horse car of Miss Liselotte was coming. It was bright yellow, as Amelia could see from the dark. Veronica lay on the ground flat. Veronica crawled on the ground , down the hill. Amelia and David crawled behind her. When they finally reached the road, the horse car was almost dissapearing in the dark. Veronica jumped on the back of it and landed cat-like. David pulled Amelia with excitement; " C'mon now! Hurry!". Amelia couldnt move. BUt when David pulled her stronger, Amelia jumped on the back of the car with David. "We were almost getting caught! Gosh! Be careful!" whispered Veronica angrily. Amelia sat on the back of the car, her heart pounding fast. The car was going very fast. When they reached the mansion of the merchant the car slowed down. VEronica pulled David and Amelia as she jumped down the car. The guests were so many. All dressed pretty, elites. There were many other horse cars, talking rich people. Three of them walked to the back of the mansion in the shadows. WHen they were far from the crowd Veronica climbed another tree with its branches reaching to the window of the mansion. When they all climbed the tree, Veronica whispered
- Now, listen to me carefully Amelia. You are entering the kitchen from this window, its open. You're gonna give me your rucksack and we'll wait here. While.. you steal food from in there. You'll see boxes on the corner, put the foods in one of them. Now go!
Amelia crawled on the branch and threw herself into the kitchen. No one had seen her yet. The kitchen was filled with delicious foods and smells. Amelia grabbed a box from the corner as Veronica said. She put the brownies she saw first. When a waitor came closer, Amelia got nervous. "he cant see me!" she thought. Then she grabbed an apple from a basket and threw the apple to the waitors head. The apple hit the man wiith a loud " Duomp!". The man fell on the ground and the food he was carrying crashed on the ground. As the other cooks hurried to take care of him, Amelia grinned. It was a perfect plan. She grabbed some other food and threw them into the box. She wrapped the meat and sausages in the folio paper. Cakes, pies, spaghetti! Tomatoes, potatoes, fish! It all seemed so delicious! Amelia was so excited, she was hurrying up every minute. Everything was happening so fast. As soon as Amelia realised that the cooks and waitors were starting to understand that something was going wrong, she grabbed a potatoe from somewhere and threw it to another cooks head. As the kitchen was filled with gasps and talking Amelia hurried filling the box with more food. The box was almost full . Amelia saw a bottle of champaign on the bar. She reached out , first hesitating and put the bottle in the box too. She glanced out of the window and saw Veronica and David, watching her nervously. Amelia carried the box to the window. Amelia climbed the bar and gave the box to Veronica trough the window. Veronica grabbed the box and jumped down the tree. David reached out for Amelia's hand. Amelia jumped out of the window in hurry. A plate on the bar fell on the floor. Amelia was so scared that she fell down before holding on to David. But someone grabbed her sweatshirt. It was David. Amelia hang in the air, her heart pounding faster than ever. David saved her from falling and they bothy landed on the ground. They caught up with Veronica. Amelia was so happy! It had all happened too fast. "I DID IT! " she said to herself proudly. They ran through the forest in the dark. The food in the box was making funny sounds as they ran.
When they reached The Tree Tops, Amelia saw a light. It was the Tree Top Children! They were sitting on the ground, around a camp-fire. When they saw Amelia, David and Veronica coming closer they all shouted with happiness. Veronica put the box on the ground and started taking out the food.
