Status: Stanley Cup Parade (mission complete)

Flightless

You can count on me for that and nothing more

As Lucy had warned might happen before she left for Max's, Kris was knocking on our door later that night, Jordan right beside him. Apparently it was common occurrence for TK to entertain his girlfriend at their place after a big win, so Kris usually crashed in what was now my room. Obviously, there was a small snag in that arrangement now, but he swore our couches were comfortable.

"So, you're actually doing this whole engagement thing?" Kris ventured in the morning when Jordan left us to visit the bathroom. He'd been pretty quiet about the situation since it had eventuated, laughing along with everyone else, but otherwise keeping his opinion to himself. Not that I'd had much opportunity to talk to him.

I looked down at my ring, twisting it while I shrugged. "It's not like Jordan's giving me a chance not to, you know that. You could have gotten me out of it!" I laughed, pretending to attack him in a headlock.

"Hey, not the hair!"

"You better watch out Ray," Jordan warned me as he came back to join us, "Tanger doesn't let anyone but me touch his hair." With that said, he lifted me into the air with a chuckle and set me in his lap on the other couch. "And I only get to play with it when we're snuggling, right Kris?"

"Should I be jealous?" I questioned the dark haired man shaking his head. Jordan tightened his hold on me, pressing a kiss to the side of my head.

Since he'd gotten his ring on my finger it seemed like he was always finding ways to prove he was serious about this, about me. I still didn't get his reasoning in the slightest, and I still had every intention of handing the ring back to him when this was all over, but he was starting to grow on me.

"Only of his delusions. At least it shows he has good taste though, eh? Well, when he's not whoring himself out."

It hadn't taken long for Jordan's reputation of sleeping around to come out. He'd actually informed me first himself, closely followed by a friendly warning from Lucy, and then a slew of texts from the guys on the team. I was fine with that. Honestly, I didn't expect anything less from a young, good looking, successful guy of his apparent fame, which is part of the reason he continued to astound me with his constant presence.

"You boys are young, you're supposed to be out there taking advantage of girls who don't know better," I shrugged. "What are you, like twenty? You've still got a couple years before you need to start thinking about getting serious."

"What do you mean 'boys'?" Jordan almost growled in my ear. "You know I'm all man, baby."

Fingers attacked my sides relentlessly, while Kris and I rolled our eyes at each other. It took Jordan a good ten or fifteen seconds to realise he wasn't getting the reaction he expected. "What the hell? How are you not ticklish?" He even went so far as leaning down to grab my foot, wiggling his fingers over the skin there before huffing out an annoyed breath.

"Nope, not there either," I tried warning him. "Sorry, boy."

Once again he growled at the teasing insult. To placate him I leaned my head back and kissed up the side of his scruffy neck, eliciting a small moan for my efforts. It was the first time I'd been the one to initiate anything with us, and it was easy to tell Jordan was enjoying the change, especially going by the grip he had on my thigh.

"Come on Jor, we don't wanna be late for practice." I left him sitting in his spot, confused about the sudden emptiness that surrounded him. He really was adorable with that look on his face. "You ready Kristopher?"

I was actually excited to tag along with the boys for their practice, before Jordan took me out on our 'first date' lunch after. I wasn't so amped about that, but I'd deal because, like everything else with Jordan, I didn't get much say in the matter.

I'm debating on completely changing my whole idea for this story, so please comment with whether you'd prefer Option A or Option B.
Yea, no more explanation than that =p

Hope you all had a great Easter!
