I'm 17 years old, and for about two years, I've been gay. I came out to my family, and they accepted me for who I was. They still loved me and supported me.
Except my brother.

He hasn't so much as looked at me in months. The most he's said to me is "pass the mashed potatoes."
It hurts. Joe was my best friend, and now he treats me like I don't even exist. I never really thought of Joe as homophobic. It never really crossed my mind.
Kevin told me not to worry, that Joe was going through a "phase," and he'd be back to being my brother and friend soon.
At the time, I didn't believe him.
Maybe if I did, I would of expected this.
