The Risk That I'm Taking

Saelins and Vampires have had their mutual relationship for centuries. Vampires provide protective for Shadows and in return Saelins provide an everlasting and potent food supply. This system would be foolproof, except for the fact that their is a smaller population of Saelins than Vampire, giving the Saelins the power of choice. Not every Vampire gets chosen. But what if the Shadows can stop that? Would the Vampires give in and conform to Shadow ways? Some have, which is why the world is looking for Mandee Sispen, the Saelin with the final element and oblivious to the fact as well. Who will get to her first?
